The wife and I both have the ls2 advant x carbon with ls2 cardo headset. All we can say is both the helmet and cardo system are fantastic. She rides a can am ryker and has no issues at all with buffeting at all even when turning her head. I ride a honda goldwing and with the windshield all the way down I do get some noise in the helmet along with buffeting, not horrible but something to note. Raise the windshield up just a little the noise goes away completely and so does the buffeting. We tried the Shuberth c5 and schoei neotech 2 and we both feel like the LS2 advant x is a better designed helmet. Maybe not the best materials like Shuberth helmet but for the price point it's good enough. My favorite part is the ventilation it's the first helmet that I can actually feel the air hitting the top of my head and the air flow continues to the back or my neck. My only real complaint is the ratchet buckle it can be hard to operate when putting the helmet on.

Got one of these spring 2023, coming from my first lid a Bell Vortex Flying tiger which was WELL past its useful life. Wanted something more comfortable for longer rides and quieter. The safety certifications this comes with were top notch and it had just enough tech at a price I liked. The modular system works perfectly and looks great going down the road as well. Comes with both clear and shaded shields and is pin lock ready. Also comes with a carrying backpack and a neck roll for additional reduction of wind noise around the neck. Doing from my Bell, this helmet is miles better, the only things I found lacking were the absence of brow vents as mentioned in this video and the control for the chin vent always took a minute to find with gloves on. Unfortunately I was in my first crash April 2024, departed the road and was probably thrown a short distance off the bike after riding it most of the way down from about 40 mph. Missed all the boulders and trees and the helmet did everything it was supposed to do. Chin bar stayed securely locked in place but interestingly the face shield ejected itself at some point in the crash. Regardless I walked away with nothing but a lot of big bruises and I’m confident in saying that had I still been wearing my old Bell, I probably wouldn’t be here. I will be getting another within the next few days and am considering the carbon version with the Cardo comms. Stay safe out there, all!

I’ve had this exact helmet for the past three months and love it. I just ordered the Cardo 4x (should arrive today) and noticing one massive difference between my helmet and one shown on the video here. I have a 2.5” wide slot (1.75” deep) in the back middle of the helmet. This helmet seems to have a more vertical off center slot. I also own a SHOEI Neotec II and SHOEI Hornet x2. The Neotec is more comfortable and I like the integrated Sena Mesh comm system, but I find myself wearing the LS2 more often. It’s not as comfortable, but plenty good, and I love the flip back chin bar.

My nephew and I both just received the avant x carbon in large and at 1st for me it was pretty snug but it has become super comfortable after a few rides. I didn't get it with the Bluetooth but mounted the gpx x1 and wow they both look as if they were made for each other. Also love that they give you a 2nd tinted visor and the pinlock antifog len all for $499 for the helmet $100 for the headset.

On a side note, you mention the visor dropping back down when you rotate the chin bar back, a buddy of mine has an HJC that does the same and cannot stand it. As someone that wears eyeglasses every time that I'm ready to take the helmet off. I rotate the chin bar back and then have to turn around and open the visor.I currently ride with a Shark (which its visor stays up as well), that feature is on the HJC, it was a deal-breaker for me, but I am seriously considering this LS2. I appreciate your review.

I have the LS2 Valiant and the Horizon, I find the Horizon is quieter in the closed position and the Valiant suffers from buffeting at speed, I'm looking at the Advant, just curious to see how quiet it actually is 👍

I have the Advant X helmet since last year, ECE 22-06 norm as i'm from germany. I had the normal Advant helmet prior and you'll feel the weight advantage of the Advant X over the Advant. The LS2 Advant X is one of the best helmets I ever owned.

Designed in Barcelona - Assembled in China. That's what it says on the box that my Advant X came in.

I went from the Valiant ll to the Advant X. On the Advant X I find that the air flow is poor. It's very loud mostly with the top vents open. Louder than the Valiant. The chin strap is attached too far back in the helmet and pushes against my throat constantly. I feel like I'm being strangled even if I loosen it. I like just about everything else about the helmet. However, I'm in the process of looking for a new modular helmet with better ventilation, quieter, and a chin strap that fits me better.

I bought this helmet for the features, safety certification , looks and price. I am satisfied with my purchase but I have to point out a few things. The ventilation is good but the noise is terrible with the vents open, even wearing earplugs, the cheek pads are snug on the upper part of your face and talking on the intercom is not very comfortable but doable, the space for the cardo 40mm speaker is tight and I have small pressure point on my ears and no amount of adjustment will make it better, the chinstrap is not that easy to use and the strap bothers me on my lower jawline. The built in retractable sun visor is not optically correct and has a purple tint that I really dislike, so I use the included tinted visor instead. But will keep it until I find something better with 180 degree modular system. I forgot to add that there is no provision for prescription glasses, I had to go to LensCrafters with the helmet on and try many frames to find one that is the least uncomfortable.

love it overall. but getting the pinlock insert for ls2 has been a massive pain. after waiting a month for it to be shipped, it was the wrong size. and while inserting it to find this out, it got scratched..,so i flushed that money and time down the toilet. and the ratchet strap isn’t as user friendly for locking it up.

I just purchased this helmet. The next day I did a 350 ride. I wear glasses and my ears hurt so bad after 50 miles I took off my glasses. I also noticed the helmet rode more on my upper cheeks than on the top of my head. I will add some padding to fix that problem. During this ride I went to a downpour. The upper seal on the face shield didn't work well at all. Water ran down the inside of the shield. My face was soaked. When I put on my rain gear, I also added earplugs. I didn't find this helmet quite at all. Maybe after I fix the way it rides on my head that will change. The first ride with the helmet was not pleasant. We'll see how it goes after I make adjustments. One last thing, the headliner likes to stick to your forehead. If you push the helmet up, it come right back to the original position. This too I will fix. For me, I wouldn't recommend if your head is a little more oval that intermediate oval. It does have great air flow!

I'm on the east coast (don't want to be specific which department) a Moto Officer back in late 2023 told me they would be getting LS2 helmets for their BMW R1200/1250RT. Just thought that was interesting.
