Great video !!! I more than ecstatic that you showed a successful LS swap into a '94-'96 GM B-Body with a 6L80e/6L90e transmission instead of the POS 4L60e that came stock with the car. With this rather conservative tuned LS3 putting out 350 RWHP you are still asking for trouble if you were running even a so called "built" 4L60e . Also with the big gear spread of the 6L80e/6L90e you obliterate the need of running steep rear gears like the 3.73's or 4.10's to get this big old gal moving. You have given me hope and ideas for my twin turbo 5.3 litre LS swap into a '96 Caprice 9C1 project.

An LS3 should rev to about 6000. He just wasn't using the full RPM range on camera.

for what? the 6l80-90e and 2.90 gears are the perfect combination, that is what the g8 and auto camaros run

+LT1derland Nope I just had my 4l60e rebuilt to take up to 800 hp . I don't plan on that many ponies .

well it's more so the 6l80-90 is a six speed auto, 3.55 behind that would feel wildly different than the 4l60.

well I would love for more better adoption of the 6L into older GM cars with 4L. I have a measly 03 Envoy with the 5.3 and sloppy 4L60 junk. Wanting to throw an LSA charger on there and would love for a 6L too. It will be a total sleeper too, like this gorgeous land yacht (I also used to have a Roadmaster but the wagon with an LT1).
