Props to you Michael on another awesome update! Really enjoy your presentation style and the editing. Very informative content, and tutorial. For a novice hot rodder/wrencher you are tackling some daunting tasks/mods. You have partnered with the right brands for the build and are building a solid platform for the coming LS swap. If you are talking with potential partners see if you can get yourself an exhaust kit for an Impala SS with an X pipe…the SS kit will work with minimal modification….also an LSA supercharger would look really nice sitting on top of that LS 😉 Looking forward to the next update in the series…oh and you should offer some of the take off parts to the folks on the Wagon forum…some want to keep their wagons stock and things like the air ride compressor and such might help someone out and put a couple bucks in your pocket.

Thanks for the kind words, Bubba! For the exhaust, Magnaflow is going to put together something for me at their HQ. And I'll definitely be selling a few things. I just found a new home for the engine and that will be featured in an upcoming episode.

Everything you’ve done so far I also did the same things on my 69 Chevelle. I had the same fitment tweaking problems and spent a long time adjusting the coil overs. Good job . It’s a shame more people haven’t seen this great series.

I used to have a 94 caprice that was that exact same color with wood grain…. It handled like a boat but riding in it was like driving a very comfortable couch down the street. You can tell a major difference in body roll from what you’ve done…… it looks like you’re trying to keep it comfortable but I just don’t think that you’ll ever be able to make that thing give you both comfort and agility. Or atleast not on the same scale as a modern CTS wagon etc. I personally would just bite the bullet and get some low profile tires on some 19s or even staggered 18s & 20s and try out a sway bar and be happy with however it turns out…… can’t wait to see this thing with an LS3 in it. Adding 150hp and removing 300lbs of weight from the LT1 is gonna change that whale ALOT!!!!

Thanks for watching and the comment! I'm pretty happy with the 18s with Michelin Pilot tires... As you said, a nice mix of performance and comfort... just not modern. (not sure if you've seen other episodes, but we did wheels and tires in part 2) ohhhh, but one thing that makes this even more fun..... mine's a 92, actually. so I'm technically adding 250 ponies to my whale. WOOOO!

Do you have a car in mind when you invision what you want your wagon to ride like?

In my mind, I envisioned something from modern (2010+) Cadillac or Lexus F Sport. Both do I nice job of delivering smooth rides with tight handling. I'm not quite there yet and may never get there. But I'll keep trying once the wagon is driving again.

How much did you end up lowering the front and rear?

I'm not sure, exactly. About an inch or so? I had it slammed at first... but kept scraping the air damn on my driveway and was fighting clearance issues on the rear sway bar.

@@oz1141 It's getting harder to remember, as I swapped out the suspension in October of 2021. With adjustable damping rates, I can certainly make it stiffer or pretty smooth. I do miss the auto-ride-leveling air suspension out back for when the car is fully loaded. Overall, it sways less, and takes less time to settle after, say, a bump on a highway... but it's also a touch on the jittery side compared to a stock ride.

Awesome, dude, that sounds MEAN! How's the tone at highway speeds? I have a FM on my 92 and decided to put the resonator back on, hahaha. BTW, not judging in any way, they look really great, but FYI, it's slightly dangerous to put rear-facing exhausts on wagons bc of the way exhaust gases get pushed forward toward the cabin. So just be careful. Cheers!

@@internetbrandsautogroup3826 I’m in Ohio so it’s completely flat and I don’t get a drone on the highway here. When I drove it through the mountains and it was in OD it was a little annoying. And I didn’t know anything about that! Good looking out! Also join some of the bubble Facebook groups and share your videos. Your videos should be getting way traffic with the quality they have!
