So... What have we learned? -- A "trip" fits neatly into a weekend pass. -- You can feel "Godlike." -- LSD should _always_ taken with a guide. -- [IMPORTANT:] Any flying expeditions should be taken out of the *_first_* story window, only. -- Dead elephants present a waste disposal problem.

Actually, Hoffmann greatly enjoyed his first 250 microgram LSD trip after he got over the initial surprise, and reporting feeling wonderful the next morning. He went on to be a powerful proponent for LSD use, albeit on a far more controlled level than standard recreational modes, and continued to personally take LSD throughout his life.

This ranks right up there with reefer madness and other completely ridiculous propaganda level films that came out from the 60s to the 80s. Permanently insane, genetic damage, no decision-making for months... thats just wild and anyone with any actual experience knows just how backwards and false it is which removes any credibility. Stuff like this and other scare tactics in the 70s and 80s did nothing to dissuade us in using drugs but by its incredulous claims cause us to believe nothing of it including what actual facts there were. By this standard I should be psychotic and my kids should have three arms, anyone read about the crazy guy with the three armed children? No? You'd think that it would have been noteworthy... The saddest part is that there have been studies and things like LSD have been tried in therapeutic settings with success treating a range of conditions from anxiety, addiction and most ironic in the face of this video, PTSD which has such a high occurrence in those who have served...

The setting LSD is taken.... Nothing could be truer, I was a lifeguard in Myrtle Beach in the 80s and went to a party with other Guards. We were all drug tested even back then as employees of the County so afaik none of us did drugs. I began laughing uncontrollably and we just all sat in a circle laughing until our faces hurt. We eventually ventured outside "big mistake" and wondered onto a putt putt course with dinosaurs, volcanoes... City of Myrtle beach police were called and we figured out we had been spiked "micro dots" which were put in our drinks. I tripped for 24 hours and for another day my brains were whipped like potatoes and I couldn't hold a thought.

*While this isn't 100% accurate, the errors that **_are_** present seem legitimately accidental, as opposed to intentional propaganda (which was **_extremely_** common in 1967 - I know, because I was there!) My guess is that this was designed for second tier medical providers (field medics, nurses, etc.), and possibly for technically advanced troops (officer corps?)* *So, of course they started with the propaganda just a few seconds after I posted the above - figures. They went through the whole schtick: everyone who takes LSD will either become a murderer or a suicide, any survivors will have permanent chromosomal damage to the point of being unable to have "normal" children. "Any man who has taken lSD can have a recurrence" (flashback). Interesting that with every single human taking LSD becoming either a murderer or a suicide, that we have to worry about "survivors" having flashbacks - such was the reigning BS at the time. They recite a bunch of "personal knowledge" stories, people this guy has supposedly seen for himself - but not a single case report in any journal.* *At the same time the government was screaming that LSD would make you run out of the nearest 7th story window, they were also promoting the "Speed Kills" campaign. The speed campaign was actually a good one, cause speed freaks (today they are known as "tweakers", or MethHeads), because speed really was decimating the ranks of our most promising young adults (speed was usually introduced around mid-terms, and the people who were most interested in goosing their grades at any costs were the ones who already had great grades to goose. Mid-Terms created a LOT of speed freaks). Unfortunately, the anti-LSD campaign was so **_completely_** over the top that it began to injure the concomitant speed campaign. Add the anti-LSD BS to the abundant marijuana BS, and the government's credibility never completely recovered. Today, COVID destroyed what little reputation the government had managed to rebuild over the last 50 years: once again, government seems incapable of not shooting themselves in the foot!* *It's important to remember that before the 1968 Omnibus Crime Control Act (which brought us such national "treasures" as gun control, drug scheduling, and a literal fuckton of other victimless crimes for which you could do a LOT of prison time), LSD was a **_prescription_** drug, in wide use in the psychiatric community. And it was incredibly promising - it took more than 50 years just to regain the right to perform clinical testing (forget about general prescribing): as of 2022, LSD is again an investigational drug, and once again, is showing great promise (surprisingly, along with Ketamine?!?!? Interesting idea for a mixed drug - a hallucinogen and a dissociative used as an anesthetic! I wonder who thought up **_that_** combination?)* *So, in the final analysis, take this for what it's worth: it's almost exactly half honest, useful information, and half complete and utter propaganda BS. *

This guy would be a real bummer to drop some L with! Haha! He's that guy in the room ruining everyone else's trip! And what acid is that guy talking about? A 24 hour trip? You are always down by 6 hours! At least getting your senses back. Unfortunately for the military, vigorous drug testing made LSD the only drug servicemen can take without worrying about a positive test. I'm a vet and I can speak from experience. And the funny thing is that my sister inlaw who served 20 years after I did said the same thing. They are creating the problem. When you are being sent to war sometimes you want an escape when you are home. And I almost fell over when he said that someone shouldn't be allowed to make a decision for 6 months. And when he said an alcohol binge is better than an acid trip! Drink you life into oblivion, but don't take something that helps you understand the fkd up stuff in this world eh? I had to turn it off when he started talking genetics. Almost everyone I know has taken the stuff and no 3 headed kids yet! Haha!

This is half true half bs. What this guy is really trying to say is that on very high doses I'm talking 300ug+ doses YES u can lose your mind for a period of time. This isn't the same for everyone tho, some people will go crazy for the duration of the trip and some others can get hppd (mainly from fake LSD tho). Those with prior family history of drug or psychedelic use are also at rust of hppd. The ideal dosage for a militaristic purpose without one completely going insane is roughly 25ug-40ug, anything starting from 50ug will cause mild hallucinations. These smaller doses will make colours and objects sharper to the human eye and will make your heart beat more rapidly and enable you to travel vast distances without getting tired and will make you feel good as well as slightly to very energetic on the come up. The comedown on these such doses won't cause any temporary long term psychosis but will slowly ease away. Also the presenter mentions that the trips last for as long as 72h which is complete bs, trips max out at 8hours and will die off, the LSD taken orally will take approximately 1h to 1½h to take effect and will peak at around 3-5h not 6h, 6h is typically the comedown. Now look I may not be a scientist but I have conducted my own tests, I have taken quarter of 105ug tabs and half a tab and as I explained above ☝️ the 25ug or quarter tab has the best productivity results, it will NOT cause the perception of time to slow but will keep you more level headed with the exception of seeing vivid colours and being more snappy. I have done LSD a few days in a row on these low doses and the tolerance after the first trip shoots up significantly. If you were to take LSD a lot I would highly advise utilising the 4 day rule and for full blown trips, the 2 week to once a month rule, this will allow your brain to rest and have time to get the LSD out of your system so that you can experience the same intensity again. I have also taken a full 105ug tab which was my first experience with LSD which was imo extremely profound. I have only ever had a full blown trip twice and then I stopped because of the extreme psychological impact it has on the mind and the way you think, I was thinking very radically but nothing like the presenter was saying like suicide or murder but just very open minded way of thinking about how the world works, I also felt the sense of being fully brain dead which was not fun but you just have to relax and accept it knowing it will go away after a few hours. My last full blown trip was at a beach where I tripped heavy balls, after the initial peak the beach was very beautiful and my friends were very kind to me as well. On these types of high doses of LSD you feel the sense of connection to everything, it is a very unexplainable feeling and can only be experienced by the individual but the best way I can describe it is the feeling of intense euphoria all throughout your body and open minded thinking of how energy in the universe is pushed around, how energy is constant and how every living thing follows in this same pattern which leads to the belief that you and I are connected. Like I said very hard to explain it. Overall really fun experience and I will be continuing to take small doses with the exception of a large 105ug dose once in a while. *Stay happy folks!*

All the wild exaggerations aside, just last night I was deeply reflecting, on my past, and I noted what terrible decision making ability I consistently displayed at a certain age. Not with obvious or dangerous things, but in general, and largely, course of life issues, and general practicalities. Watching this video I'm reminded, it was specifically the age I did this kind of experimenting, fairly often. On the other hand, that age was 19-22, the first Era I was making those sorts of decisions, was faced with such personal responsibilities. The first time I tripped I wrote a roughly 18 page manifesto, explaining why the 80s cartoon "The Transformers" was actually subliminal cold War propaganda. And I still stand behind a good half of what occurred to me that night. At the same time, I did an awful lot of stupid things, none of them involved the absurd extremes he mentioned. Conclusion? I have no conclusion. Obvious proof of the lasting brain damage LSD inflicts. Perhaps a nice long flight will help clear my head. Now where's a window?
