I was simply stuck in that all too familiar KZfaq worm hole of no escape, and I stumbled across you in all your creative glory. I think what makes this tie dye really magic is its simplicity. I wondered how he was going to match up the pattern on the back side; simply. He just turned it over and made some reference marks and that was it!

Gonna give this one a shot. I only have two tie dye shirts but I love them both. So I will eventually begin making more. But I didn't just want to do the spiral. Wig wag and geode designs are planned.

Got a tie dye kit from target yesterday. Somehow overnight my roommates kid got into it and made a mess everywhere. Luckily there was enough dye left to do one shirt with 4 colors. Grrrr

Do you use sodium alginate in your dyes? Your lines are always perfect, mine always bleed really bad for this pattern.

I'm using LSD Fiber Reactive Dye. Use use Dharma reactive dye also.

Can you iron them? How quickly do they loose color? Is there a dye brand that gives off a better permanent dye?

Is this done with a dry or damp shirt? I know that makes a difference in the final look of the dye
