Been away for a little while.. glad to come back and see some good old fashion sled work. Every time I see you work on the little sleds.. it makes me want to buy one lol a Elan.. Tundra.. indy light gt long track... just some thing to go out and have some fun on... not a big muscle sled... but I want one of them too lol I thought it would be cool to find a smaller sled for me a Indy Light GT long track.. and take the 340cc fanner out and do some fabbing to fit a 325 or 335 oil cooled ATV motor in... just to say I have done it and see how it runs as basic trail sled or utility sled... Keep up the good videos guys

Hey man love your videos! Quick question here what would be, according to your experiences, the best utility sled between a tundra or a skandic both from the early 2000's era?
@PowerModzOfficial2 жыл бұрын
The skandic for big loads, the tundra for reliability - if you dont know how the skandic was maintained it could be a basket case - the transmissions often go on them and pricey to fix

Hey snowmobiling will always be a big part of my life for transportation.I own a 94 Skidoo Safari Rally E 503cc fan cooled twin .Runs awesome I paid a fella $1000 for it . Tracks decent shape and has cargo parcel carrier that came with it .Has working guages . I put new spark plugs in er plus checked all the fuel lines they aren’t dried up or cracked . My Safari has the reverse gear . 1994 Safari Rally E . I even tracked down a factory shop manual for it plus a new tail light housing I installed on er . Was wondering if you have any leads on anyone that has 94 Skidoo Safari stuff ? I was told the sled goes about 40 km top speed . somehow I don’t believe that . Still late summer so I don’t have snow to try it but I plan on getting a trail permit to run on the trails in New Brunswick . I’m thinking my sled might go 40 Mph ? Checked the bearings and lubed all the suspension parts . I’ve got a snowmobile track lift lever tool plus the dollies to maneuver my sled around the garage .

I have a question. Can older sleds like the tundra interchange with others? I have a 92 tundra that is all stock and I believe it has a 250 in it. I was wanting to put a newer suspension and track on it but one that will raise the rear end and stick a longer tunnel and track on it.

Love the tutorial on regular maint.you forgot to mention to check the rubber boot condition for cracks from carb to intake because it can cause lean air condition causing ur motor to sieze.the other boot to air box not as important.also i wanted to ask about that brass piece that sticks in center of carb that holds main jet.on my mikuni i got the main jet out it was clean all way thru but when i tryed to knock center brass out it started to bend the u shape out a bit,i gave up on removing and got it back to original shape mostly.do you think i screwd this carb now?? The center piece started to move down some so i reversed direction and got it mostly back to original hieght.is it imperative to get that out for cleaning as long as main jet is clear????also i need training on these fuel pumps there routing ,how they work and is there a way to test ur motors provinding enough suction to fuel pump to activate it.???? Im having fuel delivery problem just got a used 94 polaris indy 440 for 350.00 seems in fair shape.but we just got snow but i got no go.bottle fed runs fine.thanks!!!snooky pa.😜🤪🤟👍🤟💥💯💥
@PowerModzOfficial2 жыл бұрын
ok on the fuel pump there are little arrows to tell you the direction of fuel flow from the tank to the engine. for the carb if presses from the bottom of the carb up and out the top, it sound go in and out fairly easily.

Yeah i guess i do have it pretty good i have to open up my chain case and clean it cause when i put it into reverse. It kinda squeals and im assuming the gear oil has never been changed and the tunnel is starting to rust through in some spots what do you think would be the best way to prevent/fix the rust should i just sand blast it then wield some small chunks of steel or another metal i currently dont know how to wield aluminum so thats out of the question for now and then im debating on if i should spray paint it black again or rock guard it any suggestions.
