Is it just the coaching? The missed tackling - imho - is more down to attitude… or the lack of it. I suspect it may boil down more to the individual player and their own capabilities and mind-set in particular. As an example to illustrate my point let’s look at the Bama game and the repeated misfiring by their centre. Are you suggesting Saban & his crew don’t know how to coach this? I am certain sure they can and that they did the proper prep too. The calibre of recruit may be more important than anything else…..?

I believe Zelance Heard needs to be let go. If our program gives into his money demands, it would set a terrible precedent. LSU needs to recruit players with much higher character.

From what I understand it’s not about the money it’s playing time,there’s a good chance Miles Frazier and Garrett Dillinger comes back and there no path to the field for him if they do

Defense plays to soft. The front 4 plays vanilla (soft) to me. That’s what my high school football coach would say to our defense as a insult to their play.

They either play vanilla or they were overrated right from the start. Now we have this entitled primadona Heard asking for more money just to make himself available to play. I'd say dump him, Heard is not LSU material. Just imagine what's next on his playbook.

The defense won this game. It wasn't pretty. It wasn't perfect. But they got the stops when it counted. Second half, they had the Badgers shut down. The offense was prolific as usual. Not as much flash, or pizzazz, but steady, confident. Clutch. That 98 yard drive was just as clutch as anything. The drive. But very proud and happy for the defense that they had a solid showing. This team will be better next year. Geaux Tigers.

The D lacks all the fundamentals, form tackling, coverage, setting the edge, playing as a unit etc. Need a new DC, DB, DL, LB & ST Coaches.

I could agree more. Our DL did not get worse but stayed the same miserable secondary. That being the case, if LSU gives in to Zelance Heard NIL demands, it would set a terrible precent for present and future recruits.

A new DC I'll agree. But recruiting wise LSU defensive coaches are amongst the best bro. But they're recruiting players who wanna blitz and play man cause that's what we do at LSU 🤷🏾. If we get out the ZONE and blitz and give our front 4 more one on ones we're top 10 easily. So find us a aggressive DC and you'll see trust me. FOREVER LSU 💜💛💜💛!!!

As much as the defense struggled, I think House should stay put. Going into next year with a new OC and DC is not the way to go. Turn over a couple positions coaches and keep as much continuity as possible. We just completed year two. Letting him go is premature.

Nuss is the guy, a yr ago in the SEC championship when he stepped up for an injured JD5 everyone said it would be okay if JD5 left because he had our guy. JD5 stayed and everyone was worried Nuss would transfer and thankfully he didn’t. He competed with JD5 this past offseason and rightfully JD5 won the spot. Nuss came in cold for a concussed JD5 against a Bama defense that just took Michigan down the wire today and had some lack luster moments. You’re either a ND fan and a newbie to LSU, buck up and support your team or gtfo.
