Auburn’s men’s team is the best in the SEC and top 5 in the country. Other than A&M who lost by double digits, LSU is the closest any team has played Auburn in losing by 15 in the last 9 games played.

Mulkey said she’s never putting Flau’jae as pg, Hailey can’t go back sg because in order to go pro, she has to step into the pg role. She won’t be sg in the W. Angel definitely isn’t a 5, I don’t know why people think she’s a center, she’s a forward.

@ericbanks9286 - flaujae doesnt know how to pass the ball. how many times have you seen her pass up a wide open angel or mk only to drive to the bucket herself? when she gets the ball shes looking to score. every time. thats why she cant be the point. and thats what this team is lacking. sure the starters each get in 8-10 shots a game, but they dont PASS to each other very well. or actively look for the open man. iowa does a fantastic job at this, as does south carolina. if anyone should run the point, id put my money on mk. develop her and see what we get.

I don't think the missed free throws gets talked about enough. In close games free throws are especially crucial. Kim hit it on the nail here though. They make more maybe they win the game. If not change the dynamics of the game.

I think it's easy to critique a freshman, she's truly a freshman and she has been performing extremely well. I think she will get a little more aggressive, but that's not really her game she is a great baller and she's just having more into her game. We do miss Alexis morris, and carson, and KP.

Angel works her ass off to post up and never receives the ball timely. She's an unselfish player who passes the ball to open players like she did to HVL who shot a brick. Angel's game is negatively impacted by not having a point guard who can pass the ball to the post and hit the open shot because Angle will pass the ball back out. There is no penetration from the point guard to break down the defense. But I get it, it's Angel's fault.

@@lanceperodin Flau Jae got to be a little more active. She definitely has the skills. They have shooters too though. Poa is a pace controller. HLV can do better she just has to play her game and get out of her head. Sometimes players can overthink in the moment based off intensity.

Many, including myself, had the same feeling at the time of the transfer. HVL is not a pg, and with her the game slows down, she doesn't have the game vision of a pg. Mulkey bet on her, and now she doesn't have many options.

It is she hasn't feed the post on time all this season, she gets beat off the dribble and hasn't beaten anyone off the dribble to collapse the defense. For easier drop off passes. This game was bc of turnovers, her and mk not shooting well.

Move her off the ball into a role she is more comfortable, so she can help us offensively. MW can play 1-3. So if Poa, HVL, or big 4 get in foul trouble or need rest MW can come in. It starts with the point guard it's true. She shot 1-9, only had 1 assist, with 3 turnovers. Playing 28 minutes. I think by far her worst game this season. Bad games happen though and she wasn't the only guard that had one today. Those happen too though. But when you're only really play 6 players with any significant playing time, things are going to go South at times when players struggle. I think the bigger issue is their bench or lack of it. Van Lith will bounce back, so will Williams and Johnson. Without a bench to spell most of the starters from basically playing the entire game, they are going to struggle at times against the better teams.

i agree. if she goes to the W, with her size and skill, that's a best position for her. might as well start prepping for it now so it wont be such a difficult transition--a la haley jones in atlanta.

So far the schedule has been weak, only 2 top 20 teams!

I am not a huge LSU fan. I would not however call them trash. They are a really well coached team and Mulkey is one of the best. In saying all that I reference there very weak non conference schedule. taking that into consideration they should have very few losses because that schedule to put it bluntly was pathetic. They do play in the SEC which is usually a very tough conference but the SEC this year only has 2 ranked teams in the top 25. So yeah they win in the 80's, 90,s & 100,s but look at the cupcakes they played there is a reason for the large wins. I wont shit on the players either they have really good ones plus I had a daughter who played and I know what most of these players go through and how hard they work on there game. Cudo's to the hundreds who put in the time to hone there game. Not just the top teams but from D1 to D3 ball they all work there asses off. My response to you is you applaud there big wins and only 2 losses but if you know anything about the game (which you seem to know quite a bit) you have to acknowledge the many cupcakes on the schedule. They play 3 teams all year ranked in the top 25 I would rather see them schedule more top 25 teams it makes it more interesting to see how they do against them. I wont Even bother watching there non conference games because the result can be known before the game is even played.

Mulkey and the referees can't even get Reece to follow basic uniform rules. Not much chance of getting her to buy into a team culture for back to back titles.
