LSU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey used her time in the Tigers win over UCLA postgame to point out a story in the L.A. Times that she feels is sexist and degrading of the young women on her team.

I read the article and I think it was a good article about her, sharing to the world that she is a tough and hard-fought lady. Most of the people that was negative was trying to stir up the alphabet community to hate her. After reading that, I think she is a great woman and that article was great to bring out the toughness in her. Go Kim.

Only one reason the media is on her case right now and that's because she did not come out guns blazing when Griner was detained in russia. Unlike Staley who uses BB as her platform every chance she gets, Mulkey for the most part stays out of the political arena unless they go after her players like all coaches do. Would love to see her on stage with these reporters, she would destroy them on any issue.

I am happy that Kim teaches her girls the game of basketball and how to speak your peace. This world still can’t handle women in power, and women who speak their minds. Please, she is not the least bit concerned about how these players are being treated by the media or anyone else (i.e. her former player who was jailed in Russia and her arrogant silence). And all of a sudden she is against sexism? Where was she last year, or even this year, when South Carolina was being attacked for the same reason? She is using her players to posture against ALL MEDIA in anticipation of the upcoming Washington Post article about her that she is dreading. Of course she will cry that the reporter did not even get her response, despite the fact that they tried to interview her for two years. I already want to read that article.
