LSU replaced a 6’5” center with a 6’1” forward, and a point guard with six years of college experience with a two guard whose more comfortable playing on the wing. This team is talented and will crush the MANY cupcakes on their schedule but will struggle with the legitimate ranked teams they face. There are issues with this squad that go beyond talent.
@helgar7917 ай бұрын
@@hittpitch1019 💯. This team is slow on the wing with Morrow, and slow at the point with Van Lith. Van Lith knew that she wasn't going to cut it at the next level as a two guard or a wing at her height and wanted to play the point for Kim. She has decent instincts at the point, but she's been easy to beat off the dribble since high school and her TO rate at the point has always been high. Morrow can play well with her back to the basket, but she knows that if she wants to play at the next level she'll need to play on the wing, and she's slower than a hog after the butcher. Her outside shot is also highly suspect. Reese still thinks she's a guard that can't shoot, and that mind set cost her at the FIBA competition, and will hurt her this year since she's the only viable option at the 5...and who thought Flau'Jae was suddenly going to play at an elite level after showing no hints of eliteness last year? Kim has a lot of coaching to do.

The way someone dresses does not determine if they win or lose, because she could’ve just showed up in sweat clothes and they still would’ve lost. Worse, your team is slow on the wing and slow in the backcourt. You're team will improve offensively as they get to know one another. Your team will get smarter, but you can't teach quickness, and quick guards, and quick or fast wings are going to eat your team alive all year. When Colorado's guards weren't faster than yours in transition your guards were getting pounded off the dribble in the quarter court. Good luck against Dawn this year. It was also smart to duck Geno in the Cayman Islands this year as well. His guards would have ripped your team a new one.

The sports world is acting like LSU is the only team to ever lose even just one game……literally every team out there especially the big ones, have had losses to regardless if they were national champions or not. People are only hating on LSU because they’re a predominantly black team who had the audacity to beat a predominantly white team in the championship a few months ago. For black female athletes, they aren’t taken seriously and if they do win and rightfully celebrate…..they’re told to humble themselves, and to get over themselves. Most of the hate is coming from white men, who couldn’t even reach the level of girls like Angel and Hailey, who also don’t wanna see black female athletes win anything. LSU is damned if they win, and damned if they lose…..if they win they receive hate from white men, and get told to humble themselves……but if they lose then everyone clowns, bullies, and shades them for it and takes that loss as an opportunity to discredit the team’s talent and acts as if that’s the biggest deal on planet earth. Even though their past 2 games against East TX Baptist, and Loyola were exhibition games…..they still won those games, but of course their loss to Colorado overshadows that because their haters are still so mad, that they want them to lose that bad.
@alanlee32367 ай бұрын
I feel your frustration. It seems like we can't win sometimes and that's super frustrating. But not all people are hating for the reasons you listed. I'm not saying that your rant isn't spot on in a lot of cases, but me for one, I was really offended by Reese's behavior when she was at the height of success in her life. What does it say when you have achieved the greatest thing in your life and then you try to make someone feel bad when they're experiencing the lowest low of theirs? And don't get it twisted - I love Caitlyn Clark's game (for the most part) but she annoys the heck out of me for different reasons (whining about any contact or perceived injustice, the shoulder shrug she appropriated from MJ, flailing when she drives, etc.). But no question about it, she was the best player on the floor that night who got beat by a better team, not Angel Reese. I think all of that being humble stuff is for the ages - let your feelings show, I say. But obnoxious behavior is obnoxious and it's off-putting. That's why there's so much angst around Barbie, IMO. I reiterate - this is my opinion. I wanted to take the time to write this because the stuff you're talking about is serious and I think it needs to be said. I just don't want to give anyone a pass for rubbing me the wrong way. Can you imagine if A'ja Wilson did that to Breanna Stewart after the Aces humbled the Libs on their own floor? It would have forever tarnished a flawless game for me. Everyone is not this picky, but I know I am. Peace, and keep speaking your truth.
