If the diode makes an improvement, the transistor can't be working? The transistor should be better than the diode!

Hi..great catch..but that is how simulation was showing the results.

There are few disadvantage with the circuit 1. It cannot stop the reverse current flow 2. Large standby current

D2 is not needed.

Hi...if you have watched the video I have clearly explain the use of D2. The reason why I have used the D2. In some extent you can say D2 not needed.

@@ElectronicsCircuitHubECH You need D2 if you selected a PFET with too large of an RDS-on characteristic, with the right FET in place, the voltage drop should be a few 10's of mV. The whole point of using the FET is to attain a minimal voltage drop (loss) from the circuit, other wise just use a single diode?
