Dude I was shocked as well, his knees barely reach his nipples (maybe not even reach them), meanwhile mine go all the way up to my armpits. Insane torso-femur ratio, built for squats

It doesnt do anything. Its just a habit for him. Some looks up and some looks down. For me i always tilt my head up at a heavy deadlift even it doesnt help or limit you.

​@@RustyIsScared based on your comments I get the strong feeling you don't actually perform any of the classic lifts or related dynamic movements (including high bar back squat for olympic weightlifting). There's a reason every single weightlifter ever keeps their head forward, slightly up, or dynamically looks up at the start of a clean/snatch - to ensure maximal upper back tightness. Upper back tightness is of paramount importance in these lifts, and the high bar olympic back squat and front squats carry over specifically because of the required rigid verticality of the torso.
