i am no massage professional but i am acquainted with asian culture, especially with massage and other medicines. the chinese are quite traditional in their massage techniques and other recovery techniques. they will do things like ‘tui na’ or ‘cupping’ etc. they may see these techniques as more effective and it is also linked to placebo in that it’s heavily linked to them believing it works on top of the REAL benefits. so maybe a massage gun would give similar or same results but if they don’t believe it will they may not notice the effects as much, you get me? i hope that helps!

@@natashaig2203 I don’t think he meant bad by that comment, it’s more of a “don’t feel about it”, if that makes sense. I wish you the best on your squat/fitness journey!

Consistent training, strict diet (imported meats, Chinese mountain water) and an acceptable amount of orange juice. Also the mindset, lifting weights is life and you think about it everyday.

Heavy deadlift, Clean and jerk also more important the snatch that wide grip really makes you feel those traps, i remember having pain in my traps for day when I first hit a 100kg PR on snatch also his deadlift involves very subtle technique to where you first lift weight with you upper body(what I meant to say is like leg drive+upper body) then he included his legs into the form
