Absolutely beautiful.

He truly gives us something to aspire to. For those who complain about how difficult life is, and make excuses - look at this man, and think of all he has seen and endured, and still continues to grow even at an age most of us will never reach.. It's humbling, to me. I'm going to think about this next time I feel lazy or have a backache and don't feel like getting off the couch, let alone practicing or getting outdoors. :)

I resent that statement. While what you said does apply to a number of Americans there are still many of us who don't party and eat fast food every meal but pursue long, healthy, and happy lives. I plan on being as active and healthy as he is at this age.

He may not (and likely isn't) 119 or whatever, but he's still VERY old to be able to still perform weapons forms. I agree about the inconsistencies, but would hesitate to question his claims without evidence to the contrary. He is my elder, after all :) I'm not even sure what, if anything, any medical association could do to verify his actual age. People aren't like trees. We can't take a core sample and count the rings lol.

I am a bit skeptical that he is actually 117, but yea he sure does move like a butterfly
