So much better than Lucas’ video! I didn’t even mention the release valve and the paper directions are worse than their video. As Charlie Brown would say “Good Grief!” Sounds weird but thanks for reminder on properly applying the Teflon tape. I frequently screw it up and have to redo it 🤣😂🤣

Hey great video, super helpful. I was wondering what upper control arms you have on your Colorado or if those are stock? They look a lot different from my 2005 model stock control arms which I managed to put a crack in. Any info helps thanks!

Good question, the upper control arm shown in this video is on a 2004 GMC Yukon, hence why it looks different. I have too many cars and too many friends/family's cars I work on so the different cars come and go in these videos. I'll admit that the Colorado is my favorite though.

I just bought the same exact grease gun, followed step by step and can’t get the grease to come out. Any idea what I could be missing?

Not sure without seeing it but perhaps the seal between the head (silver top part) and the body (red cylinder portion) isn't tight enough? There is always a chance you got a defective unit. I've heard of a couple of people getting bad ones so might be a problem with the gun itself which would be annoying but most places do free returns.

How can you remove the used, empty cartridge? There's no way mine comes off.
@many-points

If it get's stuck I use a pick until I can get an edge of the cardboard. Then if you can get a couple edges of cardboard away from the cylinder wall then crush the tube (pinch it) and pull out. Worst case it comes out in pieces but with enough persuasion it will give in.

I did exactly what you showed and I get no greese, the cylinder has no charge... any ideas?

Hard to say without having it in front of me, however here are a couple ideas: If it is an old grease gun I would say take it apart and clean it and make sure there are not blockages. If it is new gun my guesses would be either a faulty grease cartridge, a bad seal on the cylinder itself (cap not tight or foreign material keeping the cap from sealing), or there is always the possibility of a faulty grease gun from the factory due to seals in the hand pump or similar issues. If you suspect the latter and I would get a replacement from where you got it or cash in on the warranty (should work well out of the box so if it isn't that is a real possibility).

@many-points
@many-points 2 жыл бұрын
Yes it can you can bulk load the grease and it will work without a cartridge. Though the cartridge is less messy.

There seems to be a ball in outlet part that’s blocking the grease from coming out
@many-points
@many-points 2 жыл бұрын
Hmmm I don't think there should be. Perhaps would be worthwile to complete unscrew the tip off and investigate if there a blockage.
