I like what I see from this kid. SUPER calm with the puck, see's the ice REALLY WELL (big part of why I think they chose him)! I heard the announcers say "if you wanna find the puck just look for Raymond" enough that I wanted to rule out being a puck hog, so I went back through the highlights, not looking as much at what Raymond was doing, but the positions of the players around him when he did it. What I saw was that if he had an open player with a better lane he either made the pass, or if he did not make the pass, I saw no indicator that Raymond was even aware of that player. There were a couple times I noticed that he did have an open player to pass to, but they were not in any better position than Raymond and Raymond was not really being pressured. So was happy with that :-) Welcome to the Wings Lucas! Grab ahold of something, its gonna be one hell of a ride!!

Everyone I know in the Wings fanbase so hyped about Alexis. I can't wait til we drop to 4th in the lottery and steal this kid or Holtz. Really hope Detroit gets Raymond though. Really in need of a true scoring playmaker winger.

I would leave the top line alone for now. It works. Any of those combinations though, really. I just want to see Veleno and Zadina together because of the chemistry the built in Grand Rapids. Veleno is gonna be a lot better than many think he is. He was centering Lafreniere and Foote at the last WJC on the top line. Jared McIsaac was also a top 2 D on that team. Fabbri isn't a proven center in my mind. He's not as good defensively and is more a scorer than a set up man. We have Namestnikov for at least 2 years now too. Throw in Mathias Bromé, Theodor Niederbach, etc. Raymond most likely wont be with Detroit for for another 2-3 years, unless Yzerman thinks he's ready to [lay in GR after the SHL season is over, if the AHL has a season. Veleno and Seider should be moving up. Svechnikov will come up because he's out of options. This is his make it or move it year. McIsaac should finally get his shot in GR this season. I'm kinda excited about Cross Hanas and Donovan Sabrango too.

Small with good hands n speed. Marner isnt this fast n is a passer. This guy scores goals. Marner not physical at all couldnt fight half the guys sisters.
