Wait - we're SURPRISED that Sweden also features HOT TAEK articles written by people who aren't happy that their team didn't win by MORE? Like, have you ever seen Canadian Hockey Journalism?

They played horribly against France, I think the media could have been more critical…

@@lenaforsgren They played "horribly" and still only... tripled the score on France. Sure, media COULD have been more critical, but it would still have not made any more sense. The whole point of my comment is that you COULD say anything, but it doesn't make your points more salient. The press isn't interested in sending notes to the coaching staff, they're just interested in drawing eyes to their articles.

@@snadjit I’m a bit confused now. I don’t think that article is critical enough to draw any kind of attention, to be honest. By the way, I don’t think 3-1 is necessarily bad, it’s more like HOW they played.

one of those situations where you wonder why you focus on the negative rather than the positives. boost up Burakovsky, Johansson and Karlsson instead of bringing down Kempe and Raymond

not a coincidence that the world championships are held during the nhl playoffs.
@theold4734

Majority of leagues end before nhl does. As a matter of fact playoffs are over for few weeks before the world championships start. It would be extremely unfair to wait for two nations to finish their leagues and then have players who already have momentum from playoffs while the others didnt play for weeks and have to get back to momentum. Not to mention USA and Canada never really cared about world championships (not a surprise considering they call every winner in finals a world champion. NFL ehm ehm)

That newspaper and writer is known in Sweden for not having a clue about hockey.. Playing teams that you are expected to beat easily is mentalt hard to give your full focus, that is proven over and over in world Championship...

@theold4734
@theold4734 24 күн бұрын
@@moappleseider1699 they simply arent the world champs and can´t be.. Its a league. It´s like winners from europe saying they are the world championship. For you to be a world champion you have to actually compete against world teams. Not just teams in your league. Do you rember for example Nagano 1998? Best players from the entire world played there and guess who won a team which had more players from europe than NHL

I guess you didn’t watch the game against France… I didn’t watch it all, fortunately, it wasn’t pretty. My husband is 100% sure most of the players were actually hungover. I actually think calling out Raymond and Kempe like that is sort of a compliment, but maybe that’s just me. My husband and I think his role in Tre Kronor isn’t ideal for him. We expect more from him, even though his points production is pretty good. I believe Peter Forsberg also called him out from the tv studio. Before the tournament he said he believed Raymond could be the difference maker this year, so he definitely has very high hopes for him. And of course it’s not too late. Go Tre Kronor! 🇸🇪🇸🇪🇸🇪

If you are selected to play for sweden, there is ONLY gold and domination expected. Our best players is also playing NHL playoffs. But if you go to represent the national team. Yeah.. expect the highest expectation from us. We don't care if your a star in the NHL. We have bootloads of good players playing in the SHL.

I can see them getting on Raymond some, and I'm a Wings fan myself. Raymond is on a top line, he should be producing better numbers. Sweden is winning due to massive depth scoring, not top line scoring. Raymond being in on 7/35 goals is below what your top line producers should be scoring. That's 20% of all goals. In comparison in the NHL Raymond had 72 points out of Detroit's 278 goals for 25.6% and he was tops on the team. Larkin had better points per game though, just sad he missed 14 games this year. Debrincat, which us Detroit fans have complained hasn't lived up to the hype thus far, was in on 24.1% of the teams goals. Very little difference between Raymond and Debrincat but we only complained about Debrincat. Both are capable of more and us the fans should be able to demand more. The top players in the league all were in on (goal or assist) at least 30% of their total teams goals. Guys like Kucherov was crazy (144/291 for 49.5%) so don't expect Raymond to pull that off despite all the comparisons but he could and should be closer to 30%. Detroit was ranked 9th in offense this year (2 of those teams ahead only beat Det by 1 goal) and our best guy is ranked 49th overall. Even the top guys on the "bad" teams are at that point. Take Grandlund of SJS, he got 60 points out the teams 181 goals for 33.1% and he still missed 13 games. This sums up to the top line, let by Raymond, isn't producing like they should be, especially against these lower ranked teams. Sure, Sweden is winning, but again, it's because of depth and defense. I mean, hot dang, only 9 goals against for a 1.28 GAA as a team is crazy good. I'm just saying the call out is justified as your top players should be producing at a top rate.
