I went through the same thing at her age twice. Lol once I was the one who liked the guy that one of my best friends also liked but he liked her and not me. And the other time I was the one who liked the guy that my best friend(a different one) also liked except he liked me not her. We went to NY on a school field trip and we became a couple(which didn't even last lol) and I was selfish and didn't consider her feelings and I lost my best friend for over a year because of it. I've seen a lot of comments from people saying how can they go through so many emotions at their age, and I'm all like it does happen in real life people, I've lived it. Except Riley and Maya would never not be best friends bc of a boy, they might be a little strained but their still best friends. My best friend didn't talk to me at all for a long time. But it was my fault, I should not have pursued a boy that my best friend also liked no matter what his feelings may have been. I am completely Rucas and have been since day one. I don't agree with some people that say Maya has liked him since day one, I think it happened later into season 2 especially after she thought riley only liked him as a brother. I want Maya to be happy but not at the cost of her best friends feelings. I don't like the fact that they built up Rucas for so long and threw this in there out of nowhere. It really bugs me lol. Sorry for the long reply but once I start talking about gmw I can't stop. ☺

Also if we really start at the beginning of the story which would be when Maya and Riley met Lucas on the train, Maya pretended to ask out Lucas and broke up with him seconds later but then Riley and Lucas ended up together. To me that was just a foreshadow about this love triangle and how Lucaya is just a temporary thing. So to me this qoute just proves that Rucas is endgame.

I love Maya (not as much this season as I did in the first but still) but honestly she adds to her own misery. I'm not saying what her did doesn't suck because it does, but she has a lot of great things and people in her life to be grateful for. She chooses to focus on what she doesn't have. And I don't believe the Lucas thing is "killing" her. She likes Lucas (or at least she thinks she does, she doesn't seem very sure at this point) but Riley knows she loves him. Maya seems to be completely unaware what her friend has done for her or is going through. (Or she does and she's ignoring it, but I prefer the previous)

I mean when your friend tells him you like him and his only response is "what are we?" I think it's time to move on. Maya should be with a guy who chooses her first, not because the other girl is unavailable now. It amazes me how easily she bought Riley saying she loves Lucas as a brother. Obviously, Riley is hurting and Farkle is the only one to see. Poor Lucas, no one cares what he thinks. Hopefully, this whole mess will be done by the season finale.

Im not even sure it's really about Lucas. I think she wants a good guy; someone that would never hurt or leave her. That's the kind of guy both Josh and Lucas are, and they were both unobtainable. Josh was too old and Lucas clearly still has feelings for Riley. I don't think Maya reads Riley's feelings nearly as well as she thinks she does. Riley was practically screaming for help and Maya still didn't see it until Riley jammed an ice cream cone in her face. Riley is barely holding it together and everyone else kind of sees it (except Lucas and Maya) Charlie knows he's not her first choice. Her parents know she's not okay. Farkle knows what she's doing and Zay helped him come to that conclusion when he talked about Riley's willingness to sacrifice for her friends. Maya either can't see it or doesn't want to. And poor Lucas is so confused and hurt that he can't think objectively because if he could he would know exactly what she's doing and why.

I do agree with the good guy statement. She had a dead beat father, she wants the opposite of that. I mean all she could tell Riley was that he was great. I think she saw how he treated Riley and decided she wanted the same thing. I really like the idea of Maya and Zay. It's true about the feelings cause she would know Riley really didn't view him as a brother. I could see something turning in Maya's head while talking to Riley and when Lucas said she wasn't his sister anymore. Like she was figuring something out, but then dismissed it. Riley is letting her get there out of her own accord, I feel. But while Maya takes her time, Riley is majorly hurting. I think Lucas figured something out because he wasn't buying the brother and sister line. But she kept on insisting, so he decided to believe it, except for the last part. All I know is that I watched both Maya's and Riley's reactions when Lucas fell off the bull, and while Maya just stood there, Riley's first instinct was to run and be with him. The writer's said what started in Yearbook will end in the finale. So I'm hoping that it is Maya's and Lucas' relationship, because honestly I just don't get it.

I really like the idea of Maya with either Zay or Farkle. She does all the same things with Farkle that she does with Lucas (grabbing him by the shirt, getting up in his face, calling him names) but unlike Lucas he pushes back. He's her best friend (other than Riley) Her partner in crime (like the way they both torture Rucas after the first date in the classroom) and he is that good guy who would never hurt her. She and Lucas do care about one another and are clearly physically attracted to one another (thank you teenage hormones kicking in) but there's a difference between good and right. You can have amazing chemistry with someone and not have romantic feelings for them. With Riley practically forcing them together of course he's going to question whether or not that moment in Texas means he has feelings for Maya but from what I saw it was more about passion and heat of the moment (chemistry, hormones, passion) than feelings. He didn't decide to kiss her or to even try to. He didn't know what in the world he was doing or how it happened because it was a reaction. I hope they do this right and end this ridiculous triangle once and for all. I hate shows where both friends or siblings date the same person or bounces back and forth.
