Exactly the video i was looking for. Interesting that you were able to use the Swiss for the entire trip, others have said that it doesn't include the cable cars. Also, it would be helpful to add the names of the stops in your description, i know you flashed it on the vid, but its hard to write down. No biggie. First time viewer. Nice job

Thanks. Best video i have ever seen on CH. If you take the boat to Weggies, there is a small path to walk to reach the Gondola. Is there indication panel since it was not shown in your video. Also when arriving in Kaltbad, the cogwheel stops to take you, are they not full? Do you need to book for this itinary? from Mt Rigi to Arth Galdau, the cogwheel stops so that i can take the train to go to Luzern?Do i need to book in advance for both ways? Half fare card it is free (boat, gondola, cogwhee), i think?

Path is well marked from Weggies boat station to cable car station, it is slight uphill walk. Depending on the time and season, cogwheel train may be full, but journey from Rigi Kaltbad to RIGI kulm is only 15 minutes. I believe reservation is not possible, it's first come first serve. As name suggest, Half fare card will give 50% discount on the train/cablecars/boat

@@TravelwithTitans As a Swiss I can confirm what you wrote 😊 … in Switzerland it‘s totally unusual to book train trips in advance. The cogwheel train station in Arth Goldau is not far from the normal train station, just follow the signs and you‘ll get there. If you get lost, just ask any local person, we usuallly don’t bite tourists 😊. And half fare card means half price, yes!

Hi dear good evening just want to ask is it worth to go Mount rigi after 5:00 PM OK? And is it possible to look around the main places or what time they will close all those rides, could you please tell me or what time we can reach in the afternoon from Lucerne time if at all is it worth going at least after 3 o’clock or 4:00 PM and I can finish off at least the main placesbefore 630 7 o’clock thank you so much. Just want to ask it was. As I have only one evening left there from 4 pm till night

Hello Mohak, you can verify the time on Rigi.ch mostly in summers bus and trains run till 7-8 pm (may vary on some days).. So better verify exact time on rigi.ch And for boat timetable you can check sbb.ch . Thanks

Only in boat you can avail 1st class, which will be less crowded compared to 2nd class , cogwheel trains and cable car does not have 1st class option..

Its possible to manage your visit to mountain area on clear weather day, only when you are staying there for long. If you have only 6/8 days with you and have to cover many attractions, you can't decide your visit to mountain area, based on weather report. You have to stick to your itinerary, no matter how is the weather.

We visited mount Rigi at the end of July. However weather is unpredictable in the mountains, we could not see anything more than 50 meters apart due to fog in our previous visit during the same period.

Boats are operational all year round from Lucerne to Weggies/Vitznau so going to Rigi is not a problem, but in general, April and May are transition season, many Cable cars boats services will not be operational and some places may not be reachable, hikes will be dangerous because of melting snow.

Do you curently hold any passes like Half fare card or Swiss Travel Pass? If not, then you will get 20% discount on boats and cogwheel trains if you hold Lucerne guest card (You get Guest card free if you are staying in Lucerne). Thanks for the great video! Are the prices for the routes one-way or return? I’ll probably only be using public transport for this journey so would you recommend buying the Swiss Travel Pass anyway or just buying the tickets for this journey as I need them? Thanks!

Hello, Glad you liked our video. The ticket price shown in the video is for one -way . And Swiss Travel Pass is beneficial when you are planning to stay longer in Switzerland & going to visit many places.. However if you are planning to visit just 1 place Mount Rigi then probably buying the ticket would be cheaper. Thank you for sharing this video. it was really informative. We are planning to cover Mt.Rigi and Rhine falls on the same day. Our starting point is Zurich HB. from Zurich via Lucerne we will be visiting Mt.Rigi. while coming back from Rigi, is there any short cut which we can take to Zurich? or should we come back to Lucerne to take train to Zurich.

You can use last lag of route 3 in reverse while coming down which I explained in video 02:24. Rigi Kulm to Arth Goldau by cogwheel train, and then you can get direct trains from Arth Goldau to Zurich which takes about 40 minutes.

BTW, is it necessary to visit all three peaks, i.e. Titlis, Matterhorn Paradise, and Jungfraujoch? Most of the you tubers visit all these places, because they have to make videos for viewers. So, please let me know your suggession on this, considering the budget travelers.
