What we learned after moving in together | relationship story and moving in together advice!
Here are 24 things that Michael and I learned about each other and our relationship after we moved in together 4 years ago!! We lived together for 2 years before getting engaged and have been together for 10 years total (we're high school sweethearts!). We also decided to move in together before marriage, and this video includes our story time of why we did it & the moving in together pros and cons!
NOTE: this video is not for everybody. Some people might be unable to move in with a partner before marriage for ideological or religious reasons (or would just prefer not to), and that's okay! Feel free to watch this video only if this is something you're considering / interested in trying!
Moving in together after a long distance relationship can be challenging. Actually, moving in together for the first time can be a challenge in and of itself. When you move in with a partner, you learn so much about each other and about your relationship as a couple. There are all those funny memes on instagram like: "moving in together expectation versus reality" -- and most of the time I just have to laugh. Michael did NOT know the reality of how messy I can be sometimes (I'm working on it!).
We truly believe that, if you move in with a partner before marriage, you can get all of those little nitty gritty relationship problems out of the way early on. Then, once you get married, you can return to life like normal and enjoy the "honeymoon stage" without also needing to figure out how to live together well.

We haven't had to use snakes or anything since we started using tub shrooms in the drains in my home. They seem very infomercial-y but they really do work. You just have to take it out once a week and put the hair in the compost bin. They really do catch everything.

Omg I do the SAME THING WITH MY HAIR IN THE SHOWER! And then I forget to get it off the shower wall too!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣I thought something was wrong with me bc I lose a fist full every shower and I realized it's bc I don't wash my hair everyday too but also bc I wear it on a messy bun everyday almost and it doesn't have a chance to fall out everyday when I do that. I'll even go to sleep in a bun. I thought maybe they misdiagnosed my Fibromyalgia and instead I might've had lupus. But no. It's those two reasons lol. I love you Lucy

I realized that you said you watch an episode of a show every night and would like to recommend one! My all-time favorite show is Psych! It’s a mystery show with a lot of hilarious parts and funny moments. It’s on Netflix and has a lot of seasons! I don’t think you’ll see this, but there’s a recommendation anyways! 💚💚

Michael is just straight up gorgeous. I mean he’s GORGEOUS. I would definitely love to watch football with him. (#Tennessee #GoVols). They are a good looking couple and compliment each other beautifully. Lucie, you are definantly a sensitive. I’m dealing with that myself, and have been doing guided meditation.

Quick comment on Michael not changing eating habits... I think I remember in a video sometime ago (could definitely be wrong) that he has celiacs disease... It's super hard to find places that are "safe" where you don't get sick after eating there once or twice. I'm the same way. If I find a safe eating spot, then I'm there because it's easy and convenient. You probably know that though. I love change in my diet and trying new foods, but usually have to do so at home due to the gluten in everything ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Lucie Fink I thought I was the only one that did this and that it was something to do with my Fibromyalgia. Or that I maybe was misdiagnosed n had lupus. Then I realized it was bc I one, wear my hair up everyday and two, I wash my hair about twice a week. That's the culprit. Or whatever you'd call it lol. Glad I'm not the only one. I like to save it to shock people n show them how much I lose in just one shower. About the size of my first Every shower.!!!
