Jayne Mansfield is buried in a little cemetery across the street from my house here in Pennsylvania and most people who visit loved ones there don't even know it. I was walking my dog a few years ago and I noticed her daughter Mariska Haggerity there paying her respect to her mom. I didn't bother her by asking for an autograph.

I visited Lucy's "cheap" grave in California and was impressed by her humble decision and financial prioritizing regarding her final disposition. Her public work more than stands tall for itself and she did not need an expensive memorial or monument to make her seem any bigger than she already was in life. We love her no matter where or how she is buried because her burial is not the most important part of her life. For those who want to spend a fortune on their graves, that is fine and their option too.

Sheesh, my dad was a simple man and just wanted to rest in peace. We had him cremated for a few hundred bucks and I found a golf ball urn that I know he'd get a kick out of. Next summer I'll be taking some of his ashes on a hike with me to spread in the forest, after that it's on to some places we used to camp together, they're spectacles of beauty and will never be destroyed by man. But I know he's with me no matter what, every time I think of him laughing and his smile or watch a movie we both liked, he comes back for a few minutes.

There were always lots of people around her grave sharing stories and moments in their lives that related to Lucy. We went there every weekend, so don't you dare say you took better care of her just because she was born in your town. As a kid in the '70s, growing up in N. Hollywood, I used to ride my Schwinn 10 speed bike up through the cemetery, park and lock my bike, and then hike the hills. It was the only "wildlife/nature" I had at my disposal. This reminded me of those times. Once in awhile I would then go to Bob's Big Boy in Toluca Lake, sit at the counter and eat a Big Boy burger. This would be around 1978. Thanks for your efforts. Cheers.

It is in her hometown at a public cemetery with no one else famous there. people are always snapping away because we have an internet with people who will spill the beans on where everybody is buried. it looks like her kids had the right idea they were trying to put her in a place where she would be buried if she had never become famous such as the cemetery for the public at her hometown.

@@Yeiyn343 Yup! The 'kiddies' moved her to over there and they set up some kind of museum. kids & seniors get charged $17. to get into the museum & I don't remember what for adults. ($28.?) The kiddies remind me of my 'X' sister, step bro & sis, they changed my mother's & step dad's 'wills, took whatever they wanted while I was with my mother in the hospital then cancelled my mother's funeral (my blood sis wanted to save $) then they split. My blood sis gave my mother's ashes to the step sister ! I spent 17 yrs living within 30 min walking distance from mom & Al (2cnd hubby), helped them with yard work, housework & stuff that's 17 yrs of memorys that can't be stolen. I don't waste time 'hateing them', a normal person just moves on with their lives. But I could just see my 'X' sister's grown kiddies one day contacting me asking me to donate a kidney cause 'X' sister drinks like a fish. I'd tell them to donate one of theirs and shut my door as I will have nothing more to do with them. Sounds abit cold maybe but how they acted, like it was Black Friday store shopping...crazy! Great job! I love that you take the extra care to add photos of the people whose graves you’re showing. Very cool! Lucy’s original grave may have been cheap but it sounds like that’s where she wanted to be interred. I suppose they could have spent more on the plaque for her although, I know very little about that sort of thing. When people die you tend to learn exactly what people are all about. My mother passed a few years ago and I quickly understood that I was dealing with money grubbing morons, which I actually knew were that way beforehand, when my sisters changed the locks on mom’s house because I was given a key long before her death. They were not given keys prior to her death. My mother told me she would not give them keys because she didn’t trust them. They cleaned her house out and sold everything without allowing me to be involved. Nice siblings, huh? SMFH! Anyway, thank you for this video and the extra bit of time you took to add the nice touch of photos!

There’s some celebrity grave that is unmarked, I forget who it was there. It was highlighted on another celebrity cemetery channel. Sometimes famous people wish to not be a tourist attraction at their final resting place. Debbie Reynolds supposedly wanted no grave and just have her ashes scattered somewhere which I find hard to believe but at the last minute, changed her mind...after Carries died according to Todd Fisher. That literally had to have been a quick change of mind since she died the following day.
