There's a Cypress tree out my kitchen window on the lake shore. She's been through it, hit by multiple lightening strikes and storms that have left her trunk bare and burnt and twisted over the decades. Time has taken all her limbs save 3 that perfectly give the impression she has 2 arms banging on a guitar neck. You would almost think she's gone until you get closer and see the effusive glory of green live branches reaching in every direction like a wild punk rock haircut at the top of her. She's tough and she's glorious and I named her Lucinda.

As I listened to Are you alright? My mind immediately went straight to the hospitals and nursing homes which became my second home for the last two years. After four strokes and a heart attack, my father died in December. We had hospice and hired night nurses so he was never alone. It is beyond heartbreaking to know that patients in nursing homes can not have contact with their families. Patients in hospitals can not have their families with them. Then there are the countless peole doing heir best to care and comfort the sick and dying.... they too are without their families. Thank you for your generous gift of song.

Her new album is very special especially the title track at the end off the album although I have sweet spot for Man Without A Soul -fab stuff
