Notre Dame has completed the two peat with their 15 to 5 victory against Maryland. While Maryland had us all questioning Notre Dames's validity in the first five minutes that quickly changed. Notre Dame went on to bombard McNaney with shots leaving him with zero saves in the first half. It felt as though Notre Dame was scoring every single possession they got. Notre Dames's defense stonewalled Maryland's offense starting with Entenmann in cage. Maryland tried to attack Notre Dames D-mids following their success against Virginia. Yet quickly they learned Notre Dames's D-mid group is much more talented. Offensively the Kavanaghs stole the show with Chris dropping 5 goals and Pat operating behind tallying six assists. While Ajax was able to stop Pat from going to the cage his teammates couldn’t stop ball-watching. We can’t forget to mention the absolute depth of this Notre Dame offense as it ran three midfield lines the whole game that all produced points. Today I am going to go through the film and show you the little things that make Notre Dame so good.
