My dad once forgot to wear his seatbelt and crashed. He was thrown into the passenger seat. When he tried to sit back up he found that a stop sign was lodged in the chair right where his neck would have been had he been wearing a seatbelt. Another time he was driving along icy roads at night when his car began to skid. He lost control completely and he started spinning... towards a gas station. His car straightened out right as he went between two pumps, just barely saving him and whoever was working the station at the time from being blown up. The car caught traction on the road again and continued driving without skipping a beat
