He gets a lot of shit for composing such simple music. But I don't think his music is about complexity, his music is just an emotional template.
@midheaven89915 жыл бұрын
Hacker0_o Hi. I don't know to play any instrument. I love modern classical music but not the classical composers ( or their music from 150-200 years ago). In the scale of the notes I know that there are two kinds ( as I have understanding it -sorry for the explanation is like 5 year old - but I don't know the technical terms ) I think ( not sure) are la minore and la majore. One kind are " happy notes" and the other are the "sad" ones. Ludovico have found the perfect balance between those two (for me). That's why he " plays " with the variety of human emotions. You don't want to kill your self (sad scale ) or you don't want to jump like a goat (happy ones ) when you hear his music. The complexity of his compositions IS this balance. When you are down under he knows exactly when he must turn it over and lift you up. ( Like giving you hope ). For me, there, you can understand how genius he is. At my humble opinion this is especially true with ( one of his masterpiece) Una Matina when you see the movie ( some scenes are hand & hand with the music) . I love 9 out of 10 pieces of his.

Microage. Yes but ( for me) that depends from the style of music. For example I like trans ( not always) but I can't stand techno music ( always) . I think especially for music is something very personal.

Just look at the passion and love for the music which he plays. Look at the way he touches those keys. I believe what makes him so special is not only his incredible talent as a composer and pianist, but his glaringly obvious passion for the music. It's as if the music flows out his fingertips and on to keys he touches. His music comes directly from his heart and soul. And we the audience "Feel" his passion. He doesn't simply entertain us.....He moves us.

I rarely listen to this type of music... However, while scrolling through some videos this morning, I came across one that had this piece playing in the background. I was so captivated by it, I had to look it and it's artist up. This song is now a part of my permanent collection. I look forward to exploring more of Ludovico Einaudi's music and others like it. Thank you for sharing!

Its like its almost too much emotion too handle, and at the same time, just the amount to balance between the very grounded human and the divine dimension to describe the beauty of this life. I feel like he is presenting me with a gift. And the gift being yes, this life has pain, this life has sorrow, this life has laughter and this life has longing. But its beautiful and its precious.

Grazie Maestro!

Where has this music been all my life? I wish I had heard this during my dancing days. I'm instantly transported away from my surroundings to a place where I can just 'be'. I'm learning to play thr violin and despite the instrument difference, I hope this will spur me on. How well both strings and the piano work well together and seeing it is believing. It's because he is not traditional and the classical purists reckons his music is all "cheap emotions". My ex wife is a classically trained musician who performs and she has nothing but contempt for him. Myself on the other hand reckons he is brilliant!

Because his music is very simple and effectist, and any trained listener of classical music might get easily bored, but he is building simple nice melodies that connect to mainstream population, and he is approaching classical to them, which is a great achievement in nowadays decline of musicality
