Not to be a Parasocial Patrick or anything, but Ludwig has been repeatley saying that to keep QT from being sad, he's lying to her. It started with the worm, and that he can date her as a worm, but lying is a habit and it's better to upset someone than to lie (atleast of the person is really close to you).

For what i heard from The Yard and others account about Ludwig. He is super honest. But really has a hard time communicating things. So it's more of a communication problem than a lying problem. But who are we you know? They definitely hashed it out already.

i dont agree with it being better to upset someone than to lie in general, but in cases like this where the truth is extremely easy to find out i think its a lot worse. but in situations where the truth is unlikely to come out or its just how you feel about something i think its probably preferable to lie not to upset someone

i think qt is blunt enough to make communicating happen. he obvs gets why that sucked and accepts the L. i think couples can handle the friction if they just talk about their fuck ups as straightforward and objective as they did in this clip. just my 2 cents with 0 context in their actual lives.
