Herman Li did a reaction of her playing gone of his songs, and he was blown away. He said, on the video, inciting her to come, anytime they are in Europe or France which is where she is from, for her to come on stage and play with them, or just come and hang out. He was really blown away with her solo part of the song.

Welcome to the world of Tina S. My favorites are the same as Anthony's: For the Love of God, Altitudes, and The Loner. She subtly changes them to make them her own. I might throw the Eruption cover in also because it was my introduction to Tina. everything she does is worth watching. you'll start noticing that she rarely looks at the fret board and makes everything look easy. Loved your reaction by the way. I would also suggest you check out a band called The Warning ( 3 sisters from Mexico).

Vai's For the Love of God, Becker's Altitudes, and Moore's The Loner are my three favourites of Tina's. Breathtaking! P. S.... and Herman did invite her to jam with him, after he heard her rendition of Through the Fire and Flames, and said he knows who to call, when he gets tired of playing it!

Herman Li posted a reaction video of her playing his (Dragonforce) song “Through the Fire and Flames” - and he was pretty blown away. Oh - and it’s an upward of 5,000 notes over the 6 minutes, an average of 7 per second! I’ve watched piano teachers who are intimately familiar with this piece, who are absolutely blown away and can’t stop saying that she DID NOT MISS A NOTE.

The piece you quoted is Fur Elise, a different work by the same composer. The most famous part of Moonlight Sonata is of course the first movement, but the third movement is fairly well known as well. It's the second movement that nobody remembers. "She looks like she's playing a piano, her fingers are so far apart." Well, yes, that's not a coincidence. The piece was written for piano. Playing it on solo guitar is, presumably, rather challenging. In normal guitar playing the left hand just selects keys/chords (by stopping each string at a given fret, in well-established patterns), and the right/main hand (or pick) just strums -- on any given beat, it either hits one string, or a series of adjacent strings, or possibly even all the strings, but that's it. What she's doing here is significantly more advanced than that. The left hand is doing cello-esque pizzicato stuff, and while the right hand does strum part of the time, at other times it's doing complex accordion-like playing. Thus she is hitting way more notes per bar than is typical for a guitar, and in much more elaborate patterns. It's NOT an easy piece.

Those armonics are her choice, not part of the sonata... and she playfully omits it the 3º time to tease us, just before the last epic shreds. It's absolutely on purpose, imo...and lovely
@michaelgrabner89772 жыл бұрын
A classical pianist who is very familiar with Beethoven´s moonlight sonata and who reacted to that as well confirmed Tina didn´t miss a single note. Just for the record. He also pointed out that the 3rd movement is a very hard piece to play on piano but it is even way harder on guitar especially played in that tempo Tina did..because usually it last something between 7-8 minutes and Tina did it in 6....

Great reaction Sid👍 Apologies, but I just discovered you tonight as I always check out anything new posted about Tina. I was gonna recommend some stuff of hers to watch, but the other guys were quicker out of the blocks than me. But basically check out ALL of her stuff because it's ALL epic. As a Herman Li fan, I know you'll be blown away with Through the Fire and Flames...She's actually incorporating both guitarists in her interpretation...just watch Herman's reaction. Class! Now there have been several theories over the years as to why she hasn't posted anymore. I've tried to dig up info on her, which isn't easy. But I think there are various elements of truth in what I've found. However, there's a guy calling himself ''Research Videos'' keeps spouting off that she died. NOBODY HERE BELIEVE THIS GUY. He's even changed his name so it sounds like he really knows what he's talking about. Much of what he says IS correct...so it lures you in...but he's basing the fact that she died on because she hasn't posted on KZfaq or any of her social media in 5 years. She has other reasons for that...Just ignore him guys...I do now. Tina is doing well...However, I don't think we'll see her posting fantastic KZfaq videos anymore...but I hope I'm wrong... ...and ''Research Videos''...don't bother replying because it'll go straight in the bin...
