This is a battle with a conclusion that was not based solely on who is stronger. It also includes the basis of their pride and lowering such pride into the admission of one's defeat. That's the only reason why Luffy won here; because Katakuri respected Luffy and admitted defeat. Just my opinion based on my own observation really.

No, luffy won because he was stronger than katakuri in endurance and his will to not give in. Katakuri was stronger than him in almost every other category, but after luffy had survived all of his attacks, katakuri admitted defeat.

I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but I LOVE the part where the song says, "You're a cherry blossom, you're about the bloom" and shows Katakuri when Luffy catches him eating, which is when he begins going all out. Then it says, "You look so pretty but you're gone so soon" and shows Luffy as Snakeman, in which that form is temporary and runs out fairly quickly. Just a short connection I made as a One Piece nerd, haha.~ "^_^ Btw, I love this AMV!~ My favorite fight and a great song!~

Still makes me sad that katakuri lost only reason he lost was because he underestimated luffy and he was not used to battles taking that long ,he also got mad because luffy saw him eating and finally he wasnt used to taking that much damage

I think the real reason katakuri lost to luffy was his mentality, luffy is always dead set to go all out. Like (from another anime) baki statef that if he tried to kill without getting killed, ofcourse he will get killed

katakuri lost to plot armor💀. he knocked down luffy 5+ times and even with luffys own attacks. He let him get up each time. Katakuri didn't start using his observation haki til' gear 4th bounce and snake man because luffy kept shouting out his attacks😂. then they added in the sneak attack on luffy, then of course with kuris pride he stabbed himself💀. Katakuri even said that he wasn't underestimating luffy, he stated he was strong just not strong enough, its all plot💀

@@Brandyeus not strong enough? Katakuri clearly said that he doesn't think that luffy wasn't much weaker than him and when luffy uses snake man they were on equal term so, your statement is pretty invalid. And don't you remember Luffy can't be hurt by physical damage?

@@lucascampos5794 No emotional value? The whole fight was legit about how katakuri and luffy and really similar. Except for a few key differences. And it was katakuri realizing that which made him want to stop fighting luffy. This whole fight was to let us know about who luffy is

Luffy literally became 5th Yonko as katakuri is a yonko leveled pirate and he also had already awakened his mochi mochi devil fruit powers but still luffy defeated him using gomu-gomu no mi and conquerer haki and armament haki

@@crumblefreecookie7342 in the middle of the fight we route for katakuri. Luffy is the character than never goes down, katakuri is not use to being hit that much. So katakuri had no energy, unlike luffy he had no reason to fight. He was emotionally drained, so he lost. Plot armour was a big part of the fight tho

My fucking God, Luffy didn't "won" cause he was stronger, he "won" cause Katakuri said "Fuck it, why crush him now, when I can let him go, get stronger, fight him again, and make a rival?".
