Me am a Nyala lost in Yimbo Bondo sub-county, Abahumadhi clan, I speak mostly Luo language since we dwell in luo land formerly Yimbo-Abaluhya, the Dimo or Kadimo out powered us and assimilated us to Luo, though there are others who speak Luhya language and are in Osieko Obaro sub-location in Bunyala​@@luhyalanguageandculture

They are all part of the same family of Bantu languages which evolved due migrations of African people. Kikongo was not the most spoken language in Kinshasa during colonial, that is not true. The formal Lingala is spoken in the North West region of DR Congo. The Lingala spoken in Kinshasa is informal. You have to do a proper research otherwise you run the risk of misleading other Africans as Europeans do.

@@imhotepmk8090 .You have to do research first before attempting to refute my point .Ubangi is a branch of languages that includes the languages of the extreme north of DRC , Central African Republic and a part of Sudan .Lingala originated in the North of DRC in what is today the province of Sud- Ubangui .The name of the province where lingala comes from indicates already that it belongs to the Ubangui branch , not bantu branch .There is no bantu language that starts by the prefix " Li " like lingala .You can do research on bantu languages in Zambia , Zimbabwe, Malawi, South Africa , Angola , Republic of Congo , Angola , Gabon , you will never find a bantu language which starts with the prefix " Li " . To finish it is absurd to say that kikongo was not the most spoken language language in Kinshasa during colonial time .kikongo was the main language .This can be verified by the old railway signs left by the colonial administration .They were written in kikongo , not in Lingala . Besides , The place where the city of Kinshasa is located was an ancient province of Kongo kingdom called Okanga .If you check the ancient map of Kongo Kingdom of the 16th , you will clearly the name of that province .The province of Okanga was inhabited in the North by batéké people and in the South by Bakongo people .This can be verified by the names of the neighbourhoods of Kinshasa .In the North there are in kitéké language : Masina , Ndjili, Maloukou ; and in the South in kikongo : Selembau , Kinsuka.

Before that, the language was known as "Bangala" which had evolved from the Bobangi language which was a trade language. Despite their geographical and cultural diversity, Bantu languages exhibit similarities in grammar and vocabulary, indicating a shared ancestry. She is doing a fantastic job by showing us we are indeed ONE people.
