I’m happy you’re playing Hidden Mansion mode in this version since unlike in the original GameCube USA Luigi’s Mansion, they made Hidden Mansion mode in the remake hard based on the original GCN European PAL release but without it being annoyingly mirrored entirely like they unnecessarily did with OOT3D Master Quest! Speaking of which, will you do a “many ways to die in Luigi’s Mansion 3DS”?

Hidden mansion kicked my butt because I was playing on my og 3ds. Got the new 3ds xl and it was much easier to play

Mansion

Third one Sucks, First one golden, Second one inferior to the first, but is absolutely classic and wasn't afraid to be different. I hate the third one for a few reasons. Mainly because of the changes. For example, the basic enemy was Green in the sequel, now Blue in the third sequel, the Blue enemies in Dark Moon are now orange in the third installment. The combat is garbage in the third one, you can only attack ONE ghost, and instead of sucking them in with a charge, you slam them, while satisfying to slam the annoying fuckers, you only get 4, and it only takes out like 20 of their bar, but in Dark moon, you had the incentive to get more money for the upgrades like an extra bar in your suction meter, or a longer Dark Light effect (not sure what it's called.) Whereas here in the third one, the game punishes you for making purchases with the money you collect, there's no upgrades, only boosts that as far as I can tell, are useless besides the gold bones. The third game is boring, it's a copy of both the first and second, mainly the first one, with the portraits, and how the bosses in the second game look similar to the third game's bosses, with the respective areas. It's THE SAME. I could go on, and on, about the third game's negatives, but I gotta give it some leeway. A few MINOR things I like about the third installment is how they gave Gooigi purpose unlike the DS remaster of Luigi's Mansion 1, he's necessary for certain puzzles and bosses even, good idea. The animation and designs for not just Luigi but for E.Gadd, Mario, Princess peach, pretty much all the normal mario characters besides the ghosts are good, clean, and a refresher, I love the detail on Luigi's overalls, and how E.Gadd moves his mouth unlike the first 2 installments. I like the improvements it made off the second game, continuing some of the mechanics like shooting a ball, or flashing the enemies, finding the boo's via Dark Light. That's it, I don't like how they made the Ghosts not only look, but SOUND. The Red one, when he screams at Luigi as an introduction in the third one was WEAK, but in the second, he literally screams as an indicator that he's charging up to attack. Just the third game had the charm as this guy says in the video, but that's it, it downgrades what made the combat so smooth in the second game, charging all three bars to suck up THREE, THREE, TRES, 3 GHOSTS, not SLAMMING THEM 4 TIMES just so they can get away. One issue with both games is the constant same conflict. Oh look, Boo does something, either destroying the moon, or Kidnapping Luigi's friends and brother. Oh wait, how ironic, he's stuck in his own painting. Here's something they could've done, why not give Luigi creative ways to throw objects, I literally thought "why not have the ability to spin around with a ghost or an object to either do more damage or gain better distance." Overall, Third game sucks and I hope they give it a better makeover, keep SOME of the designs, keep some of the combat and puzzle solving like Gooigi, the Plunger, give MORE CONTENT like upgrades for the Polter Gust, Luigi's stats like health, running faster, finding more stuff, make the bosses different, like super different, hell, make one of them NOT a ghost, make a new super villain, not KING BOO AGAIN, make some paranormal nightmare that plagues dreams and raises the dead, make it a CASTLE instead of a mansion, give it a BETTER SOUNDTRACK, make the puzzles HARDER to figure out like what if you had to position your flashlight at a certain angle to bounce off mirrors, or what if Gooigi had to ride a wooden plank while fighting Phantom Pirahnas, or the Ghosts took the Polter Gust and all you can do is run and hide, what if there was an enemy that needs objects thrown at it, MAKE A SERPENT RISE OUT OF THE GROUND, do something even more different and unique than the second installment! That's my rant, don't care if you agree or disagree, it's me venting my frustrations with this game
