Back in 2018, before Luigi’s Mansion 3 had come out, with the 3DS in the final legs of its lifecycle, the developer took the step to prolong its life a little bit more with a remake of the original Luigi’s Mansion.
Now, in 2024, with the Switch set to be succeeded by a next-gen platform next year and with no word yet on when the next mainline Luigi’s Mansion game will release, the company is set to release a remaster of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon for its current platform.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD is not far away from release now, and with its promise of a visually enhanced version of the beloved 2013 3DS title, it’s certainly got a fair few people excited about it. Here, we’re going to talk about a few key details that you should know about it.

@@darkchiefReborn The only thing better in the original is the resolution and the fps, the rest, models, lighting and textures clearly the 3DS version is better.

I will buy it more than anything because my 3DS is starting to fail, it's my favorite game on the 3DS and I am excited to play it again on a larger screen compared to the 3DS screen. Waiting impatiently for it to come out.

The ghost designs from the first game look so much better than the ones from Luigi's Mansion 2 & 3.

Hopefully they keep Scarescraper like the original where you can ACTUALLY play in single player mode and complete it opposed to the third one.

@@carterkrzesik7694You will most likely need to have the Nintendo online to be able play scarescraper, which I am not buying it because Nintendo online sucks.

You can complete the scarescraper in single player. I have completed the 20 floors many times when I didn't have it online. (Although it is true that it is difficult to get the achievement of reviving teammates if you are offline)

@@RenardioMFG it's a test of skill for sure, but it's absolutly doable. You can even max out on the hardest scarescraper mode as sole player (the hardest being endless hunter)

This game needs the Skyward Sword treatment. Remove the incessant interruptions. Turn down the amount of "calls" by a huge amount. Stop making me go back to the lab every few feet. In other words... just let me play the damn game without interrupting me every few seconds.

I never found it that horrible. It’s bad in the beginning but gets better as the game goes on. E Gadd doesn’t call you as much and missions end when it feels like they should

Unfortunately, they kinda already made a "Remaster" of the first Luigi's Mansion on the 3DS, but it's actually more of a remake.

it’s not a remake, it’s barely a remaster. It’s a 3ds port so all of the voice lines should be the same

It works better with 2 Screens. Also Buying the Original Brand New Costs $25-$40. Much more Worth it.

For the remake, I really think they should add a hard mode. I was able to breeze through the main game rather easily, and I think a hard mode would increase the replay value quite a bit.

I quite enjoyed it on the 3DS; though a fairly simpler romp than I'm accustomed to. Story wise, it's pretty meh, but keeps you engaged in the narrative just enough to finish the game. I felt that unless you're a completionist, this game is pretty one-and-done as far as replayability goes. I may splurge and add it to my collection, especially as the Switch nears the end of its life cycle. A fun little game.

The thing I will love in this remaster is not having to use gyro controls because the switch actually has a right stick.

Although it's the weakest of the 3 games imo, I'm still picking this game up even though I already own it for the 3DS. It'll be a good opportunity to replay it as the last time I played Dark Moon was back in 2013 when the game released, which is crazy because even Luigi's Mansion 3 I have already replayed and of course the first game I have replayed countless of times.

I don’t see why ppl put hate into the game, if you don’t like it then don’t buy it but some people get nostalgic about this one bc of its release on the 3DS. That’s me for sure, and having an HD better graphical version is gonna be dope!

this game is really overhated imo, I loved it and still love it. I don't think going back to E. Gadd and the general mission structure is unenjoyable, and honestly I enjoy it more in a lot of ways. The fact that this remaster is 60 DOLLARS though when the original was literally 40 and they've changed nothing means im just gonna replay the original instead of buying it lol

Bulls**t Nintendo hasn’t even hinted at a successor to the switch yet. I love how there always trying to will the new switch into existences by mentioning it everytime there is a new game for the switch that might push the existing switch a bit to far.
