Ай бұрынThe Dallas Mavericks improved their lead to 3-0 after a 116-107 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. They are the first team in the play-by-play era to go up 3-0 in the playoffs despite trailing in the final five minutes of all three games. Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving combined for 66 points, while Anthony Edwards had 26 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. Skip Bayless, Paul Pierce and Keyshawn Johnson react to the Mavs big win.

What I love about Gafford is he doesnt give 2 F's if he gets posterized...its happened a few times since he got to the Mavs...AND I LOVE THAT!! He will ALWAYS go up and try. I hate when people say "why would you even jump?". He doesnt care about that...100% all the time.

Honestly I like Lively more as a complete player compared to Gafford, and I believe J Kidd does too, that is the reason Lively is always on the closing line up. But this last game with the Lively injury, Gafford showed me something, way to come up clutch when your team needs you. This Mavs team has Champs written all over them, the talent, the work ethic and the unity all seem to be there. I believe they beat the Celtics in 6 in the Finals.

Skip is 100% right on his take about Ant disappearing in the 4th. Another thing I noticed about Ant is his ability to finish at the rim through traffic isn’t that good. He either misses/loses the ball or at most times defers to someone else. He should be driving all the time at his age and at the very least pick up fouls. You can check the replays, most times he drives into the paint in traffic he will pass the ball, that’s not going to cut it.

Ant was caught sleeping on that that PJ three in the 4th. If you watch kyrie telling DJJ to clear to the opposite corner to improve the spacing. Luka sees Ant hovering around which means Conley is on an island vs 2 guys . Luka immediately whips the pass to Kyrie, than an extra pass to PJ

Dallas has solved the Minnesota problem for the other franchises. Have a good post player who can protect the paint and then KAT and Ant will settle for jumpers most of the time. KAT may be a “big man” but he’s too soft to be willing to go up against good post defenders. He didn’t have this problem in the 1st 2 series because Jokic and Nurkic aren’t good post defenders.

For this season, but its not just turning them into jump shooters because despite that minnesota has lost every game in the 4th quarter, they dont have closers, someone who can get them a basket when they need to stop a run or to stay close if a run starts, every game either minnesota led in the 4th or the game was tied, and then luka and kyrie mainly luka starts going crazy in the 4th and they have no answer, he started a 7-0 run in the 4th game two and Minnesota was up by 2 or 3 i believe and they never recovered after that, if they solve the closer issue next season Dallas wont be able to do what theyre doing in the 4th erasing double digit leads or going on runs because their closer(s) if they obtain any will make sure they dont get back in the game

Maybe their coach and players will get a little better though. The wolve obviously have big potential. Maybe the experience will be the difference. I like your take, it's intelligent. Why every segment starts by giving Twolves excuses and not giving Dallas the credit of how good they are playing as a team? It's getting tiresome . First how the clippers aren't playing well and they are injured even Stephen A racist smith got angry at the clippers for losing against the mavs. Second Mavs were underdogs vs OKC mavs win now how OKC was a young team and they were praised so much for their accomplishments yet Dallas gets no credit at all. Now Poor Twolves are tired and aren't playing well we feel so bad for them making excuses for every single player in the roster for the wolves.

@@aceloco817 idk he’s the only one you’ve gotta game plan for on the spurs right now, and he was giving everyone that work. Even in high intensity games that felt like a playoff game he was still playing great defense and finished with at least 3 or 4 blocks. Defense is more about effort and ability and in my opinion he plays better defense than gobert. I also have a tendency to believe goberts defense has always been a bit overrated as well, even back when he played for the jazz, to me his defense is just very overrated.

Something a little weird i couldn't help but notice. Kyrie had 33 points, Luka had 33 points. 33 + 33 = 66. Luka jersey number is 77 and Kyries number is 11. 77 - 11 = 66.
