The song is dedicated to his best friend (William) who recently committed suicide. Lukas is from Denmark (Copenhagen -> Chrstiania (the place where you smoke and buy pot)). He is hardcore original and from the streets of Copenhagen. We are proud of him representing!

A teenager killed by the pusher with a baseball bat for trying to sell 5 g in the entrance without permission (look it up). Random people stabbed to death outside the entrance (3 times within 5 years) Pushers assaulting customers who complain ( which i have seen personally +10 times) A homeless man got stabbed to death and thrown in a furnace there too. Gang members throwing hand grenades at nemo land, random shootings between rival groups in the 2000s and 90s. Don't spread lies dude, it's disgusting. Benjamin the 22 year old lad who is on the large grafitti plaque in pusher street cause he got shot in the back of the head by a pusher playing with a low caliber gun. The things i mention here is a FRACTION of what has happened there. I have been part of and in Christiania +15 years. Know your history.

I remember when they made one of their first hits "Ordinary Things" I just hoped that someday people from all over the world would listen to their music. And here we are! The band made their own music genre and I am so proud of being a Dane right now. I can't get enough of their music! Lukas sings with his soul and it is so beautiful! :O

Beautiful reaction to this beautiful song ( i saw his interview about this song. And he said that the song his about his friend that he lost at the begining of this year. So he is telling his friend that nothing changed dont worry you didnt miss anything everything is still the same. What a wonderful song.

The piano in the background is actually Beethoven moonlight sonata, same as in Better Than Yourself ( criminal mind part two) so it makes those three songs kind of a trio 1. Criminal Minds 2. Better Than Yourself. 3. Not a damn thing changed

The song is made in the memory of a dear friend that he lost earlier this year, it was a great lose for all of the boys, William will be missed dearly. Country, colour religion doesn't matter. He is gonna be one of the greatest singers coming out of Denmark, there is no doubt.

I dont normally watch reaction videos. But for whatever reason I watched this one and did not disappoint. Thank you, and 100% agree I have my 2yr old listen to Lukas Graham with me, I sing along with my husband, and love hearing my niece and nephews tell me they know some of his songs so we can sing along together.

Lukas Graham is a rapper that have a school education in singing. He was also as child star in the danish movies krummerne. Where he also recorded his first song He maked street rap 15 years ago when he was still selling weed in Christiania free town where he's from. He was rapping fuck the system, acab rap. In Mfs eliten. Which is still active under the names mfs and atypisk. Lukas is one hard working kid

To improve the sound quality in those kind of videos, you can listing to the song through headphones and put the song in when editing. Then it's easier to match the volume of both your voices and the music. I made a video for KZfaq this summer, but took it down the next week because I was so embarresed. I am very shy on camera, but I love editing! I wish the best of luck to you guys.

Lukas is from Christiania in Copenhagen, Denmark. It’s some kind of hippie ghetto I think it can be called. There used to be a lot of fights with the police as it was kind of a lawless area. With a lot of people selling drugs, to stop that the police have been send in many times. The people leaving there didn’t like it and didn’t more or less whatever they could to stop them, beside shooting at them. But they throw stones and other stuff at the police including Molotov cocktails. As I understand Lukas were part of that. Lucas lost his father at a young age, a close friend he got himself while an other got shot probably by a drug gang, he later died on the hospital. He got lots of friends in and out of prison and one that escaped and fled out of the country, don’t know if he have come back and turned him self in yet.

Super interesting to hear it from your perspective but you stopped the song before the best part :-) I'ts cool how a guy from little Denmark can sing songs that others around the world can relate to so well - but it just shows that we humans are not really all that different and Lukas really knows how to express the hard feelings we all know, one way or the other.

Hey guys I have a weird connection for you when you talked about Kendrick would mesh well with Lukas. Lukas used to rap back in the day and went on tour with the danish rap group Suspekt. Suspekt made a danish hit (Suspekt - Helt Alene: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hdBneZRl26-4dp8.html) which got picked up by Dr. Dre, who sampled it for Kendrick Lamar. It became The Art of Peer Pressure beat. So around the time Kendrick conquered the world, Lukas was on tour with Suspekt, who at the same time had just made Kendricks breakthrough beat.. There might be a video reaction in this for you guys, or you could just do it off camera. Of course everything is in danish, but the vibe is hella dope. Lukas often features in Suspekts live shows.
