I was 26 when I got saved. I was 21 yrs old in the LORD and I had forgotten what it was like to be lost in the dark world without the Spirit's help. Then GOD gave me a refresher course for a couple of years. He let me live in the dark world, again. Then when He called me back out, He told me, "Now, don't forget again what it's like to be in the dark world w/out the Spirit." That was when I learned GRACE again, but a newer truer kind.

I'm sure I'll get a lot of negative remarks for my backhanded compliment. That said, I have been listening to you for about a year and find you very grounded spiritually and an astute Biblical scholar. I am just impressed you can seem to be a born again Christian in Oregon. In all fairness there are some negative areas that make all of Texas look bad too. Blessings to you and your faith community.

I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (December 11), Luke 1:57-66, 76-79, was the basis for our Sunday School Lesson of the Day. It was entitled "Zechariah Speaks."

Zacharias maybe deaf and dumb. That's why the people make sign. Just a thought. I love your teaching Pastor, following for the past 6 yrs

Some do assume this, so possible... that what occurred was Z's loss of COMMUNICATION... incoming as well as his speech (I lean toward that myself). But, personally I've worked with Deaf-mutes (not "dumb") & it is not a very big stretch that people might respond to his gesturing with gesturing.

New to the Bible, and I have a real question: What happened to the humans that lived before Jesus? They obviously could not have gone through Jesus. Did they have another way to reach Salvation and Heaven?
