@Mr Kish So where is the historical evidence? Quoting from a corrupt book is not historical proof. You know that right? Paul had witnesses? LMAO! First of all, noone knows who these people were. Second, not one of them saw Jesus the way Paul did. And most important, Paul is writing his own testimony that he changed up to 3 times. @Mr Kish, the account in luke contradicts the account in Mathew.. So you don't need historical evidence, just the contradiction between the accounts means Atleast 1 of them is false..

Here We Are he meant outside of the bible and Christian writers there is no evidence that the Romans conducted such census. Even the reference you quoted is from the bible so it doesn’t count.

Arfa Khattak i think Christians have a tough time understanding that the bible is not historically accurate or can be used as historical evidence. There also seems to be a comprehension issue regarding this specific topic...

@@arfakhattak1015 The diary of Ceaser Augustus called the Res Gestea Divi Avgvsti ( The Deeds of Augustus) shows that census were taken. This is not The Bible or a Christian scholar but the ACTUAL writings of Augustus.

Surely someone of such a popular profile and someone who is deemed a 'first-rate historian' - we would at least to know his biography such as if he is honest, reliable, had a good memory. Or if not all of that, at least his full name...

According to C. Aherne and general scholarly consensus, Luke was indeed a disciple...a disciple of Paul, not Jesus.

@@Kashif-kq3vg Well C Aherne and your 'scholarly consensus' is wrong. Luke never claimed to be Pauls disciple and Paul didnt have any disciples. Where did Luke describe himself as Pauls disciple and where did Paul say Luke was his disciple?

@@deficrypto1234 These are the words from the likes of Epiphanius the 4th Century bishop, biblical scholars such as Hackett and Bart Koet. But it seems you now want to throw all these under the bus with no evidence. The reason they say this (as you seem to be unaware) is because the strongest evidence is in the bible, Luke repeatedly using the word 'we' in describing his Pauline missions in the Acts of Apostles suggesting he was personally there excluding himself from being an eyewitness to Jesus. There is no shame in being wrong Adegbenga, everyone's on a journey to learn.

@@Kashif-kq3vg I suggest u review the usage of 'we' in the English language. 'We' is just a plural for more than one person. Also, at no point did Luke say he was an eyewitness. So, I agree with u regarding the point on the eyewitness. May I respectfully ask have u read the bible or the book of Acts or Luke? Luke clearly identifies he was speaking to eyewitnesses, not being an eyewitness. U haven't presented any evidence from the scholars why Luke is Pauls disciple and not Jesus. Its not my priority today as that is another conversation. Once again, I wont be side tracked into side conversations. Do you doubt Sir Ramsays credentials or not? Have u examined them? If u disagree with him, why? Have u also read the book of Luke to see why Sir Ramsay called him a first rate historian? Kindly respond to my questions. I patiently await.
