That's the selfishness of boomers not willing to die at a normal old age. IMO it's not moral to spend every penny you have to extend your life a few years thereby transferring all generational wealth from your progeny to the medical industrial system/wall street. They believe in the medical system and the drug companies, and don't rely on natural measures. But half the problem is the children, who allow them to be forced into nursing homes instead of taking them in, like humans have done for millennia. Nursing homes and retirement homes are ridiculously overpriced and will steal every saved penny and then some. So get a home your parent(s) can live in, and hire a visiting nurse part time if/when needed, help them with natural health measures (diet and supplements) and discourage most drugs for most conditions. The only hard decisions should be surgeries and cancer, those are tough, but I would reject chemo and radiation for alternatives. Hopefully they have good insurance.

The only American who won't acknowledge this Administration's failed economic policies is Joe Biden. "Shrink-flation' is the least of our worries compared to rising rents and stagnant wages, but it is an undeniable indicator of how bad our inflation has gotten. I have $100k that i like to invest in a non-retirement account, any advice on that?

I would avoid index funds, mutual funds, and specific stocks for the time being. Right now, the best option is a fixed income of five percent. Put money aside for the times when the market really starts to bounce back.

If you are not in the financial market space right now, you are making a huge mistake. I understand that it could be due to ignorance, but if you want to make your money work for you...prevent inflation

People dont understand that the prices of things are never going back down. This inflation is deeper than we think. Those buying groceries are well aware that the real inflation is much over 10%. The increments dont match our income, yet certain investors still earn over $365,000 in stocks and assets. Wish I could accomplish that.

Fortunately, I began stacking and mining BTC in 2020. It didnt start out well, but i am happy i held. I also grabbed 878 shares of IBIT on launch for the 401K. There is no need for me to constantly stay glued and stressed out with the price. I look forward to the IBIT price in 21 years when I turn 65

Down the road I expect to see massive yield curve control (as Japan has done for 3 decades) otherwise I can't see debt/GDP compression due to the expected large deficits! When the debts are owned by the FED the debt is essentially expunged. The FED balance sheet must expand enormously or there is no exit from this. Am I missing something???

When the lights go out due to civil unrest or attack (not a far-fetched scenario anymore), there are two guys. One only has a thumbdrive in his pocket with lots of bitcoin, and the other has his pockets full of gold and silver coins. If you desperately need something to stay alive, how illogical it is to want to be the man with the thumbdrive. Even in the dark, silver and gold outshines bitcoin.

You dont have to provide anything of value to society to protect yourself from debasement. Getting rich is a bi product of protecting your return on labor or whatever you do to earn fiat. Its like deciding to not get paid in apples anymore. You’ve chosen something that lasts or keeps its value over time. Unlike apples and fiat which rot.

I don't know why NO ONE is talking about this. #Bitcoin price MUST go up otherwise whales could potentially corner a substantial supply of the network. At $10mm per coin, this scenario makes it nearly impossible. At $1mm per coin, it would take approx. 10 years and at $100k/coin, next year.

Isn't there also a spiral also where if real rates is really really negative, that it still disincentivizes people to buy US Treasuries? Which means the US needs to have even higher rates, which is unserviceable, which means they need to print more, which re-creates the negative real rates condition... This in the end becomes a 3rd world country where they are owing foreign currencies (commodities really is what they need to buy, not necessarily actually to payback foreign currency debt, and foreign entities might demand either commodities back, or undilutable store of value. Effectively continually owing these undilutable store of value to settle commodities trade), and US becomes Venezuela which must keep more to service their debt of which nobody wants to buy because the currencies they are denominated in depreciates faster than the interest they get paid for.... If so this is going hyperinflate quicker than most thinks....

I just got to say I own Bitcoin but it sucks at just about everything compared to other blockchain technologies other than cross border transfers. Bitcoin will never replace the monetary system because it's too inelastic a system. Even gold grows by about two percent a year. But in a dollar or bond crisis Bitcoin will go up
