Truly devastated. He was the James Dean of generation X. God, I can’t believe he’s gone & want to kick myself for not appreciating him more. He was such a huge part of my teen years in the 90’s. I loved Dylan McCay. I loved Luke Perry. If you haven’t seen his film 8 seconds, watch it. He was fabulous in that movie. #RIPLukePerry 🙏🏼💔

I’m surprised that his level of fame didn’t reach that of Brad Pitt & Leo. He got all the charisma that makes one famous. Probably wasn’t so keen on getting bigger in Hollywood.

I agree, I think he was so humble and soulful that he preferred to live a life full of the love of his family and friends..to keep everything real and stay away from Hollywood/fame dramas. This show the kind of good person he was. Keanu Reeves is another actor who tends to stay away from the spotlight and lives to live a normal life as much as he can. Love these kind of people. Humbleness is a gift or is a quality you learn and master through life.

Luke's death is just particularly sad because he's just a genuinely nice person and loved life. He never had any bad press and just maintained a low profile since 90210 ended. His life taken away too sudden and early.

He was a sweetheart. He wasn't ashamed of what he came from. Not only admitting to shoveling asphalt but also telling someone on the crew prior to 90210 that he put in one the speed bumps in the road where the set was located. A country boy from Ohio. Who loved Garth Brooks and wore cowboy boots and hats. One of my favorite episodes is the Real Mccoy. He's in a western flashback. Jason Priestley directed it.

What an awesome awesome man he was I remember when that show first aired I was 20 years old 20 or 21 and I was a stay-at-home mom with two little boys already two baby boys and I tuned in the first time it aired and I never stopped tuning and I watched for 10 years it was an awesome show and I liked Luke Perry so much I love his character I just think it's so sad that he passed away just watching this interview and seeing how humble this man was then as a young man and two now before he passed he was always humble if I didn't like this man more than I can I don't know what I could say I don't think I like him more than I words can explain he is this is what an actor should be they should be humble because you know what tomorrow is never promised
