Herb definitely bet on Chris. I remember counting 72 unanswered strikes from Luke’s ground and pound at the end of the round.

I don’t think weidman realized how good Luke’s grappling was. He knew Luke was a more diverse striker but there was no huge grappling gap. Slight edge to weidman in wrestling and edge to luke on submissions and ability to work off his back

@@AssassinKreed1016 Probably his spinning back kick, since then rockhold has had 2 wins, he got tko'd by gegard mousasi, Ko'd by yoel romero, jacare souza, dominick reyes, broke his leg in uriah hall fight and was beaten by brad tavares

This is one of Herb Dean's WORST errors, and it's even more unforgivable because it's not like he missed seeing one tiny detail. He watched Luke grind Chris' skull into a fine fucking powder and just did NOTHING. Weidman was never the same after this. What a horrific and unnecessary beating.

Dude was being dismantled and got opened up with unanswered shots. Fight should’ve been called earlier. Sad case each extra heavy hit can be extremely detrimental to one’s health.

I never found Weidman to be that impressive. Am I just a jackass?? lol obviously anyone in UFC is impressive but I mean among the greats. All Weidman is really known for is Anderson breaking his own leg on him then Weidman doing the same thing years later. Weidman was never in the class of middle weight masters
