Welcome to my next tribute, this time about Luke Skywalker. Despite the fact that Luke is my very favorite character, I realized that I had never made a video about him before, so here he is! I wanted to make a music video about him for the first time, but I didn't find a song that would be good for him, so I decided to make tribute about Luke and I think it fits him better. This is a shorter tribute, but it's that I wanted to keep only one song, so I hope you don't mind, but one day you'll get a long tribute about his life.
I'm quite satisfied with this tribute, but not 100%. I'm still learning to create tributes so keep that in mind :)

I actually have tears in my eyes. I watched this in absolute wonderment! What a gorgeous tribute to an amazing character. He came so far and represents such hope. God I loved this. And it felt like two minutes rather than five. Amazing!

I’m glad I found this, Luke will always be my hero in the Star Wars legacy, as well as that of Princess Leia. I took both my children to see the 1st trilogy and it has remained one of their best films which they have watched over the years and still do. I’m still confused as to where Rey’s lineage falls to though, because the story jumped from one theory to another for me….oh well, I guess that’s what is called keeping the audience guessing so we can create more films. HIGH 5….👍🛸🛸🛸🎥🎥🎥

They made him so powerful after reconnecting with the Force my connecting with his sister, saving her and the remaining resistance from otherwise otherwise defeat and death by the hands of Kylo. Luke did the most powerful force projection ....the ultimate jedi mind trick on Kylo and by buying time for Leia and the Resistance to escape. By himself he took on the First Order and all the while being completely in control and majestic strength. He listened to that final lesson from Yoda on Ach too and he rose high above his past failure to make things right and ultimately in tranquil peace became more powerful than ever when like Qui Min , Obi wan, Yoda, Anakin ....Luke too became one with the Force and the galaxy would forever tell takes of and be inspired by the legendary Luke Skywalker......I apologize for this being so long....

The final trilogy is the complete polar opposite to this wonderful tribute. The final trilogy diminished and desecrated the true legend of Luke Skywalker. He represented millions and like in its purist form…. Hope, dreams, strength and fulfilment. In over 40 years growing up with the original trilogy, Luke will always be a hero. If I could have one wish it would be to have never seen the sequel trilogy.

I'm sorry you feel that way. It would be nice if someday you could see Luke in the sequels as I do, an extension of his legendary heroism from the originals, just not in the way that would have been the "easy and more seductive" way. Afterall, Rey isn't the one the galaxy will remember. She isn't the one who inspired hope when there was none. That was still Luke in the sequels after his actions on Crait.

Agreed. That wasn't Luke. The Luke that calmly stood up to the Emperor, who chose death over killing his father, years later, after years of more wisdom and growth suddenly get's scared his nephew is turning dark and thinks about killing him? That's just ridiculous. Not the same character. Such a shame the trilogy was made by who made it. I imagine in better hands, we could have gotten something epic and touching. A true closing of the SKYWALKER saga.

Can be. But I liked the fact that Luke failed and learned from the mistake and sacrificed his life for his sister and his resistance. The fact that he had to go to Yoda to open his eyes was very good, and he left us an important quote: "The greatest teacher, failure is."

@@santiagochover4811 See the idea of it is cool, the idea of Luke failing and then going back to his former master to learn more is cool. But the execution of it isn't great imo, if they wanted Luke to fail it shouldn't have been in such an out of character way. Luke was the guy who chose death over killing Vader, one of the most evil men in the Galaxy. Imo if they wanted to have an in character way for Luke to fail, it would've been better if Luke ignored the darkness he saw in Kylo because of his high levels of optimism, the same optimism that led him to see good in Vader, just for it to back fire this time and have Kylo turn evil anyway, leaving Luke to blame himself for ignoring what he saw. That would've been alot more in character imo

@@t_r_a_y_e9858 Something similar happened to Luke in the movie regarding "Return of the Jedi". Luke turns on his lightsaber in front of Vader, just like with Kylo, but at one point backs off (same in both parts). Luke realized at that moment that the same thing was happening to him that would have happened to him with Vader.

The Disney trilogy did Luke Skywalker, hero to over four generations, unapologetically dirty. I’ve heard the argument people liked that Luke “failed” and redeemed himself in the end, after finally learning from his failure…here’s the thing about that though. Yes, that’s an interesting concept. It was executed extremely poorly. Luke Skywalker wouldn’t abandon the Galaxy, because he failed his nephew as a mentor. We had proof of this in Legends. Luke Skywalker failed dozens of times along his way to becoming Grandmaster of the New Jedi Order. Each time with major or minor consequences, but he didn’t blame the Jedi or what they stood for. He still believed in his heart that the Jedi were a force of good for the Galaxy, that people still needed something they could use to hope for a better future. No matter how much it hurt him, he didn’t turn his back on that belief. No matter how much Luke blamed himself, he did his best to learn from his mistakes, and stand back up for the innocent people of the Galaxy. He even still failed his nephew, who became a real Sith Lord. A villain who’d start another war, murder Luke’s wife Mara Jade, and try to force him to kill his son Ben Skywalker. The ultimate failure in Luke’s life that cost him his place as Grandmaster, and even then he did his best to do the right thing. He traveled the Galaxy doing good with his son, wherever they could, for whoever they could. Luke took that failure and turned it into a defining moment in his life and still did what he knew was right in his heart without abandoning who he was at his core. That’s who Luke Skywalker is the man who does the right thing no matter what it costs him. You can fail and become broken hearted, but you can’t turn your back on who you are for decades. Doing the right thing isn’t about you, it’s a responsibility you feel in your soul that drives you to action against something you cannot stand and look away from in life.

When you look at the sequels, you need to not compare it to legends. Because no matter how bad _or good_ the sequels turned out to be, you'd have always find yourself wishing it was legends. You are fully allowed to prefer Legends Luke to Canon Luke. But to think that disney did him awful as some sort of vendetta or because they didn't care is false. The proof is the fact that yeah, Rey defeats Sidious for the second time. But its not her that the galaxy will remember. Millions of civilians stood together and marched (or flew I guess) into the heart of the darkside to defeat it together and why did they all unite like that? Because of Luke. At the end of Last Jedi, when the galaxy had given up hope, Luke was the one who reignited the spark. His sacrifice is what everyone galaxy wide would talk about. When Rey lost hope and went to Acho To to disappear, Luke was the one who convinced her to face her fear instead. And when Rey publicly broadcasted the path to Exegol, she did it using Luke's pilot call sign. Poe and the main cast knew it was Rey, _but the galaxy saw Luke's sign was lighting the path_ . Was it intentionally different from Legends? Probably. Can it be argued that Luke changing away from his younger self needed a bit more context so we could accept that an older Luke would do what a younger Luke would not? Certainly, as its an argument I've even made in the past. But again, the writers behind the sequels _do care for Luke's legacy_ . I'm not asking you to like their choices, all I'm asking is that you realize they weren't out to tarnish Luke.

He was my childhood crush when I was just a 12 yr old gaykid back in 1977. I remember wishing that time for him to be my boyfriend but then later I realized that it's impossible cause he's straight and I'm just a kid while he's already 12 years older than me 😭

just watching this i wonder if return of the Jedi movie foreshadowed the Last Jedi & the Force Awakens movie return of the Jedi he tells yoda “ i’m not afraid “ yoda replies “ you will be, you will be “ flash forward to the events of the last Jedi Luke tosses the lightsaber his father anakin skywalker once had then Obi Wan Kenobi passed that same lightsaber down to Luke Skywalker ! part 2 of my comment flash forward to the events of the last Jedi Luke Skywalker goes into hiding just as the same when obi wan Kenobi went into hiding prior to the events of revenge of the sith after Anakin Skywalker turned evil & turned to the dark side.

I can understand what it's like to go down the wrong path I am trying really hard not to go back down that path I hate my self for turning to the dark side of life but I am trying to stay balanced between light and dark together true balance
