Ik this isn’t really related to the Luke, but seeing that you have the new Amazon 3 pack, why don’t you add the custom cape and helmet on the Amazon pack Mandalorian, instead on the Mandalorian you have it on now

Can you see if the yoda saber is able to fit in the hand of the yoda from lukes dagobah training? Im curious if the accessory might mean we get a clonewars/episode yoda soon

The custom head and matte spray does bring it together. I’m still passing on this though.

Hello Luke thanks for the review and sharing your thoughts on the new Luke and Grogu pack. I was wondering how much reuse the Luke figure had and I'm surprised how much articulation the new Grogu has. I want this set but I'm waiting for it to go on sale, I bought the Empire Luke and Yoda for about $25 from ebay so I'm sure I can hold off till this set is on sale/clearance. Unless they make a SUPER articulated grogu somehow, Grogu should only be a “accessory” or only in “2” backs But ummmmmmm hasbro where’s that new Jango 👀

Hey Luke thanks for the review, I had a question I hope you could answer, does either of the Yoda lightsabers fit in the hand of the original Dagobah 2 pack Yoda figure?

I didnt have any intention of picking this set up, but now that I’ve seen your review, I think I must have it! So glad they FINALLY fixed Grogu’s arms; the original release was designed so poorly that literally any time I tried to move his arms they would fall out. And then they got to the point they’d sometimes fall out if he was in a box or something. Initially I used wire pushed in the arms and into the body, but this gout frustrating so I finally just super glued them in place to avoid losing one or both. This new one looks much better designed! Is the head interchangeable with the Ashoka 3 pack Grogu? Even if he can’t move his head as much very curious if it can be swapped. I think that head/face is the cutest and closest likeness to Grogu, but not a fan of the sitting pose he’s molded in. Really wish Hasbro would just make a little articulated body for him (but a real body, not that weird erector set thing Figuarts did for theirs!) and a soft goods..hoodie? Onesie? Sleeping BagDuffleCoatComboWear?…what is his little outfit called? And very odd that Mando has never got him any other clothes; sure, he may be a slow grower and not need new clothes; and most Star Wars cultures definitely seem to regard clothing as a necessity rather than a fashion statement, with only the wealthy families on Naboo and Alderaan and Corsuscant having many clothing changes whereas the majority of StarWars characters remind me of 18th century and earlier humans that have one basic outfit, maybe a couple for weather extremes. Intriguing, and I wonder if this has ever been covered in any George Lucas statements and/or EU stories? Anyway, back to Grogu, it would seem very odd (from a marketing standpoint) to see him in anything other than his little beige overcoat/burka thingy. Something about it being oversized and his cute little green head peeking out is adorable, but without getting gross, I do wonder how Mando handles diaper changes (those frogs can’t smell good before being eaten!) or is Grogu able to care for himself in that regard? I wonder if we’ll see any major changes in Grogu given how slowly he matures, certainly his size shouldn’t change much in the time frame of the Mandalorian series, but I expect we’ll get a few cute gurgle words here and there, maybe even as the final scene of the series, would love Mando telling his adopted child he loves him with Grogu gurgling a “love you Dada” or some similar back! Oh wow, didn’t realize I got carried away…but going to leave it all since it’s fun to discuss even if not the appropriate place (sorry all!). On the figure front, you have any plans on getting the new R2D2 and/or R5D4 in early for review??? Absolutely can’t wait to see those and especially compared to Figuarts R2!!! I just received my pyke soldier pre-order today. I ordered Luke and Grogu on the same day back in April 2023. Luke and Grogu arrived in August 2023 and our labeled #7 like yours. Sadly, Pyke Soldier arrived also labeled #7….. clearly Luke and Grogu should be numbered as #3 based off the mural order between 2 and 4. Really sad this is mis-numbered.

Surprised you didn't do a back pack comparison with the Dagobah Luke. Excited to get this, as it is a unique version of Luke that I don't see getting a Figuarts/Mafex version in the near future.

Yup, I saw this on sale last week from Taiwan along with Rebel Endor commando. Picked up the commando along with Malak and Bastila but left this one out as the price was hike up to near shf luke price tag. May skip it as I got an army of Grogu already.. hahaha....

Wow! This one is very new Luke Skywalker figure.

My Luke Skywalker just fell from a 4 foot shelf onto a carpet and the blade broke off the hilt has something similar happened to anyone else. ( I the lightsaber was stronger than that)

Great review. I kinda wish it was just a mainline release instead of deluxe. The accessories are cool but I would have rather just gotten Luke and Grogu with the backpack even if it was like 33.99 deluxe.

As i haven't gotten THIS!!! or a ROTJ style luke i'm fine with whats included plus the likeness reminds me of he deepfake they used in the Eps he appeared in so i dont mind.

I really wish TBS would use more paint for the price. It just doesn't look worth the price and the back pack looks unfinished.

Argh, that backpack joint! Terrible design. Also the blast connection to the rock is awful. So flimsy. Mine barely stays in and Grogu's ball joint to the rock is loose too. I'm so disappointed in this set. I almost packed it away, I was so frustrated. Terrible design for the rock connectors and backpack. Thanks for the review though, it was very helpful to know I'm not the only one that thinks that backpack connector sucks!
