My dad passed away yesterday after giving lung cancer a fight like no other. We didn't have the best relationship and I have many regrets about that but I would never want anyone else to be my dad ever. He was the strongest man I knew with the biggest heart. He was a truck driver his whole life and we had many memories of our road trips when he was still married to my mom. I saw this country from shot gun in a semi. Driver, you are relieved of all duties. Keep trucking in heaven.

I lost my Father in January from f*^king Covid-19 he was only 66 years old and had just retired after working his entire life. He was my hero my best friend. The strongest man I ever knew I drove him to the hospital. Never thinking he would be the last time we rode in the car together 14 days later I was on my knees, praying to God, less than 8 feet from him through a glass wall, watching him take his last breath, completely helpless and wishing I could do something. Everything I’ve done in my wife has been because he taught me how to be the man I am I miss him every single day. This song really hits home. Thank you Luke I can only pray that I can be half the father he was to my four year old son. I just wish I could call him for advice. Does it ever get easier?

I lost my son one year ago, Easter Sunday 2020. His dad and I met at the hospital, after our son had been in for 5 days with an unknown heart failure and not being able to see him due to COVID, to remove life support. We sat with him for 2 hours, until his precious heart stopped. The next day, we met at the mortuary to complete plans. I live 60 miles away, so had a bit of time to travel. As I started to go around the mountain, I could not stand the quite any longer. Turned on the radio and this song came right on. As I cried, I knew my son gave me something to help me. For the next couple of weeks, every time I got in my car, this came on, letting me know I had a co driver on board. This song is put on every morning now, as I talk to Cody and make sure he knows how much he is loved, he is in a way telling me the same. I cannot begin to tell you how much this song means to me. Cody may have sent this song to me, but Luke, you have a gift that carried my son's help to me. Thank you.

To everyone who sees this video, forgive your parents and return your father. Your father represents Christ on earth even though they are not good examples. The forces of the evil want to to think that your father is wrong but they know that resentment of your father will cause you to be unlike your self. Forgive and your father in heaven will forgive you and you will have peach here on earth. It’s a spiritual battle and if we love our fathers no matter what the crime we win have peace and lead the way world.

I found this song before I lost my Dad and loved it, when I knew his time was coming close, this song brought on a whole new meaning. I was a mostly good kid, my dads fishing partner, he picked me up after basic training and after my deployments, he was always there and this song is a simple reminder that he will always be there. Thanks Luke for the reminder, anyone who has lost someone needs the reminder once in a while.

I lost my dad when I was 15, he was depressed and drank too much and his liver failed. We had time with him before he went but we could only say so many words to each other. This was 3 years ago. They gave my dad 6 months to live and within two weeks he was brain dead. It happened so fast. I could just see this void in my dads eyes that he had already passed. I couldn’t say to him what I wanted to say. He was gone before i knew it. I wish I had said that I love him more then anything and how much I would miss him. I think about my dad everyday. for a long time I hadn’t processed his death. Now 3 years later it feels like I’m finally strong enough to heal. This song. This song right here speaks it all. The moment he starts singing I can’t hold it in. Your father is your father no matter what, and when you lose a loved one they are always still with you; whatever you believe in doesn’t matter, you feel them. I want to be the best man I can be for my dad and it helps give me a purpose, and if he was here today I know he would be proud of me. I would give any amount of blood just to have another conversation with him. When I become a husband and a father I want to be the best I can be and I look forward to those roles. I lost my dad when I was only 4 years old, I found him dead in his my mom’s bed. I think I may be traumatized, he had a heart attack in the middle of the night. Sometimes whenever I get on the football field I feel like he’s with me, I pray to him every night, telling him how much I love him and I miss him. And then my mom basically went crazy for a while, but she got mental help after a long time. Just know to cherish every moment of life (especially with the ones you love), because tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. God bless everyone and stay safe 💙💙
