when you leave your rod to sit, keep your drag decently tight so when the fish swims away it will get hooked. if you leave you rod sitting with loose drag the fish will just nibble your bait and wont hook

Hey mate, some tips that have served me well. Hold your rod as much as possible, you strike rate will go up. Use elastic cotton for snells, go through the eye of top hook then tie bottom hook. Wrap the cotton around the top hook and line, you can then slide the top hook to suit the bait and when you hook up the top slides to the bottom and two hooks buried. Last fish as light as possible, those jetty fish are smart

I wish one of those boys was my son. I have 2 boats and non of my 3 sons like fishing. 6.7 barcrusher and 4.6 Dory Quintrex and I went yesterday and only caught 8 skippy. Excellent KZfaq video and thank you to the young man for showing us how to rig up for Mulloway.

Good to see the vids again man. With snell rigs wirh baitfish the top hook thats closer to the swivel should be the hook that goes through the head and the second hook just sits towards the tail. If the line between the hooks is too long try wrapping it around the bait before putting the hook back in

When you fish around Perth rock walls use tougher baits like herring and mullet because there are many bait pickers like blowies. Mulies or sardines will stand no chance against them

With all those rocks should be using a paternoster rig, also use snapper or teardrop sinkers. Less chance of getting snagged. Never be scared fishing into the wind.

Hey Luke, my grandson watches your videos every day. He said that he wishes your father a fast and easy recovery and that you are posting again sometime. Also he wanted to know when you will be in the Gold coast area? He fishes all the time in tweed heads and many other places that he thinks will provide you that screaming drag.

Do you guys use “bait cotton”? When your bait is soft a few wraps of cotton holds your hooks in the bait and last a few more bites. Highly recommend if you are allowed to use it.
