He scored a crucial goal against Middlesbrough in his first season to get Liverpool into the champions League for the first time in 3 years.
Wijnaldum said he wanted to win trophies and titles in his first Liverpool Interview! And that is what he did! Inspiring Liverpool to defeat Barcelona in the Champions League and ultimately getting his hands on the trophy after the final against spurs! He also helped Liverpool to win the Super Cup and Club World Cup.
Gini will always be remembered for being a crucial cog in the midfield of the first Liverpool team to win the Premier League, 30 years after their last league title. He is a modern Liverpool Legend and will always be in Kop folklore.
