The backup singer "Carol" Kirkpatrick, was actually Nancy Kirkpatrick, who passed away in 2006. Nancy was a respected South Florida talent with numerous credits as a session singer on commercials and pop recordings.

Yes, but Lulu has that soulful sound and always has.

@@jamesdunn9714 Lulu has a great voice but has to an extent wasted her career on poor song choices and being an 'entertainer' rather than singer. I'm sure she has made a decent living which is all that counts at the death. Some of her stuff is excellent, tho. But I would NOT include this virtual note for note copy of Roy Redmond's absolutely brilliant version, which is better than the original. I was very disappointed with this.

Love this album, thanks for uploading this track! I tried to post "I Don't Care Anymore," about a year ago but it was blocked. Hopefully things are loosening.
