honestly, seeing the original song, yes i wouldve let that through, but well the live version, it doesnt sound right, as if voice cracks everywhere, but yeah i do get it, something like this wouldve been hard to perform due to it being fast paced but songs like this prolly will be accepted more later

Actually it happens quite often that I like most some of the songs that doesn't get through to the final. But that is a part of the game I guess. We can still appreciate this song even if it did not make it to the final.

@@lisiastar8441 not always, covid doesn't hit everyone the same way (hence why some people don't have any symptoms, some barely have symptoms, some have to be hospitalized and some die)

@@myra0224 you could go that way,however covid does affect the lings,just because you don't have symptoms or you simply recover and go on with your life,it doesn't mean it might not have affected you in some way shape or form(which we can assume affected the singer in this case) no matter the case people that were affected by it are most likely to get affected by other respiratory problems in the future when they aren't as young/healthy,problems that were exacerbated due to covid

He was cool and convincing, but she looked very tense and nervous and - as you said - her singing performance was not the best (compared to the music video). But nevertheless the two have represented our country worthy.

@@littleprincess8526Yeah good point. But it’s up to the performers if they would like dancers or not. The music video had dancers performing the dance so maybe if they added dancers, it would increase the chances of this qualifying for the finals?

@@jason256-8 to get the attention away from her. The camera was fixed on her but she was stressed. Having more people on stage puts the focus of the viewers less on the singer and more on the action meaning the dancers. A dynamic song needs a dynamic staging and this was anything but dynamic.

I felt like at party!! What an energetic song that is! Pia's vocals were much better than pre-parties and rehearsals. Can we please allow it to qualify? I can't vote for it, but all my support to Austria 🖤🇦🇿🇦🇹. So sorry for those 2 young guys, Lum!x has a great career and i hope Pia improves her vocals in future. Many people are writing comments about vocals but I disagree with them. It wasn’t awful, maybe slightly worse than the studio version. Almost all dance songs sound worse live, so it’s not a big deal for me. BUT there was so much more to offer with this performance! The melody is so catchy, the staging has strong vibes of 90’s and 00’s, the crowd was dancing, I was almost dancing on my sofa. I felt through the screen that they enjoyed every single minute of their performance. My heart melted when the girl was screaming of happiness in the end:) Maybe it was worse than others in terms of vocals, but I’d enjoy them in the finals 1000% better than vocally good yet so damn boring Switzerland or Iceland.

Love, you need your ears cleared out. Even if Zwitserland or Iceland weren't your cup of tea, but at least they didn't hurt my ears when listening to them. Yeah, Halo is a good song but Pia Maria's vocals were not it at all (try that "high" note again at the end, I was ready to turn my TV off when hearing that)

Completely agree except I would say Greece and Italy instead of Switzerland and Iceland. I actually like those 2 they are at least calming songs, Greece and Italy on the other hand were just boring. I would add Netherlands, Armenia, Czech Republic and a few other on that list as well, but Greece and Italy were the clear winners of the most boring song award at least for me.

I loved this as the studio version. And it’s such a shame it didn’t go through to the finale. However, I think there were several reasons why. First of all, not bringing in the dancers from the official music video was a HUGE missed opportunity. The way Pia Maria just stands there next to him is just not enough action on stage and quite painful to watch. And the obvious, her vocals weren’t strong enough. She can certainly sing - no one would doubt that, but in her case she would have needed so much more stage experience to pull such a big performance off. And lastly, the promo of the song was weak to the point where they were none-existent online. I heard their label blocked everything in terms of copyright issues which isn’t their fault, of course, but it’s a bummer nonetheless. So, while I was initially really sad about them not passing through, I think it wasn’t all that surprising after all.

Many people are saying she sounded great... I wonder if they need their ears checked or their bias thrown out. I'm glad you worded it so well, because there's clear reasons why this didn't qualify. I think it's a great song, but it just wasn't good live. If my faves mess up tomorrow, then I'm not going to defend them saying they did sing well when they didn't. Sad so many can't open their ears...

The best song this year for me. I'm still gutted it didn't go to the final. Everyone is saying bad things about the staging and her vocals. I don't agree. If we see this performance, there is nothing to be embarassed about, the essence of the song is there. Great tune, more then 4 million views in the studio version and 55000 likes, how it didn't qualify is still a mystery! So bad it finished in a shocking 36th place overall.
