I think the GT Mini is pretty the same as the D1S ?! Neal told me the same.

Yeah, a lot of similar lights come down to reflector size now as they have more or less the same driver, UI and LED. The GT mini isn't essential if you have a D1S but it's a good alternative or gift idea.

Great review, IMO you make by far the best flashlight reviews on KZfaq. One question, would you say the Convoy is as bright as the GT Mini? At 4:01 it's compared to the Convoy and it looks pretty much the same to me, but at 5:12 it's compared to the Convoy and the Convoy is much weaker.

Hey mate good review.Being an FET driver would you loose any lumins using a 3500GA cell compared to a hydrain. Cheers.Just tossing up weather to purchase a 30q.

I don't think the Mini draws that many amps so most unprotected cells will get similar output.

Hello everyone, on my sample i noticed around the spill, a very well defined ring, which I have never seen in any other torch that I own. According to you it is normal, or maybe the LED is mounted too far / high. Mine is NW Thanks in advance

Respected! Tell me please. you held two flashlights in your hand. and you have the opportunity to measure on a lux meter. Question - Which lantern is really brighter. and not on paper? What flashlight is Emisar D1S. or Lumintop GT Mini. long-range. more meters of range. ? because the characteristics on the paper of these lamps are known to me. but I'm interested in real data on the device. Thank you. I'm waiting for an answer.

I don't have a D1S, I believe the GT Mini has more lumens though judging by tests others have done

light worked great for a month, then switch stopped working so its a gamble now when i click to turn on, double turbo etc... not the best quality, i have many convoy lights they have zero switch issues... now i wait for a replacement head from the group buy guy Neal, been 3 weeks i doubt i will get one.. so i spent 40$ on crap.. never again lumintop and few others on BLF report also switch issues etc so clearly this light even tho reflector is very nice compared to the c8s it suffers from quality issues sadly...

Yes 5 taps to initiate it, twist the tailcap off and on to turn momentary off

QUICK DUMB QUESTION... I need to know if an unprotected high drain 18650 FLATtop battery can be used in the GT Mini, which as we all know is much shorter than a protected buttontop 18650? Please let me know if you've tried both types in your GT Mini and if you think the shorter battery makes a less reliable electrical connection. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can use both no problem. Flat tops have less resistance so are the better choice for the GT.

LUMINTOP DOES NOT HONOR THEIR “HASSLE FREE WARRANTY”. The switch on my gt mini crapped out after less than year. So I thought ok, I will just contact lumintop. After sending a video of the problem per their request and a couple emails later they said I would be receiving a new replacement around April 10....never got it. And they are not responding to my emails. If you go to budget light forum they talk about how lumintop blows off emails requesting warranty work. I never had this problem with other manufacturers like Nitecore, Fenix, and Acebeam when I had a warranty issue. Never buying Lumintop products again.

Shipped from "CN" warehouse. I'll give them an H, an I, and an A if it helps. Shipped from China = 16 letters and 2 spaces. Shipped from CN warehouse = 22 letters and 3 spaces. Sounds more _discreet_ to say shipped from CN warehouse? If mine fails I just hope it's moddable. Yes I bought a really tough and cool looking light that will likely break if I drop the thing. Interesting how I see no in-country supply. Shipping a pallet of 1,000 compared to individually flying them all over the country? Local replacement for failures compared to get lost? Maybe at some point in this insanity people will pick up a chunk of metal and say "Glory be I bet I could do that"

chefgav1, please please mute the video. In my opinion, his music (along with many other things) make his reviews the best on KZfaq, by far. If you don't want music, mute the video. That way, we're both happy. BTW, any song with an organ isn't church music.
