Agree with all your comments. I also found the 12-35 to be the best at AF-C for video of all my lenses.

25mm f/1.7 prime lens and 12-35ii 2.8 .this combination is satisfactory for every purpose

I have owned the 12-35 mk1 for several years (and updated the firmware to the dual IS) and it’s my Go To lens for outdoor work (and vacations). For indoor work I prefer to use faster primes.

Wayne Bonilla My photography journey started in the 1980s but, fast forward to the present day, my latest primes are: A nifty fifty (obviously) namely the Pan/Leica 25 f1.4 The Pan/Leica 15 f1.7 The Nocticron 42.5 f1.2 (which is insane) and I purchased that (interest free) over 4 months courtesy of Paypal Credit and This year I went the opposite direction (price wise) and bought a used Samyang 12 f2.0 Suffice to say I don’t own a Sigma 12-35/Speedbooster combo and am similarly not interested in the Pan/Leica 10-25.

I've been using the Panny 35-100 f/2.8 a lot lately, especially for interviews. It allows me to get that nice shallow DOF really easily. You can find used ones for really cheap, too!
