What gives Lila the edge over Gabriel as a villain is that she can adapt to unexpected changes while Gabriel has a specific plan which when something unexpected happens, it falls apart.

If we combine the ending of "Confrontation" with what we learn in "Revelation", then we can conclude that Lila has at least three identities, each one having one different mother. Lila Rossi (which is not even her real identity) is the daughter of Mrs. Rossi, an Italian embassador who we met at the "Heroes' Day" and whose house is located near the Place des Vosges. The second identity is Cerise, who is a class representive and has been lying to her classmates saying she was making a movie shoot, whose mother is the one that was calling at the beginning of "Revelation", thinking she was on Africa, and the reason why she was not using video was so she wouldn't see her with her wig. And then we have a third identity we still don't know whose mother is that deaf woman and whose house Lila started to inhabit between "Perfection" and "Revelation". But the mystery of Lila/Cerise is still going, as we still don't know what is her real identity (if it is any of the three or any at all) and why she is doing all this.

This episode isn't heavy on action compared with others, but what it lacks in action it more than makes up for in plot! Lila turns out not simply to be a liar - she is, herself, a lie. Pending any further development, the safest that we can say about her is that her name may in fact be Cerise and she has conned at least three women into believing that she is their daughter. (It's worth noting that we've seen her talk to at least one of these "mothers" via Alliance and Zoom call without showing herself - conceivably that "mother" is one that only knows her as short-haired Cerise rather than long-haired Lila...) How she has done this is beyond comprehension, and it may give us chills to try and imagine possibilities, but at this point what matters most is that she has done any such thing at all. It proves that she is more dangerous and duplicitous than previously suggested. She can manipulate people to an alarming degree; she clearly has a scheme so convoluted and intricate that it can only be for malign purposes. The creators were saying years ago that Miraculous would introduce a villain against whom Gabriel / Hawkmoth would seem like a baby, and it now seems to be beyond doubt that this girl is that villain. Even when it seemed as though she had been defeated - exposed to the school for what she really is - she found a way to escape, and she was even prepared to throw a fellow villain (Chloe) under the bus in the process. She has no loyalty to anyone but herself. She is a solitary predator waiting to strike. The question is in what way she will strike, and against whom. We have known since season 1 that she has it in for Ladybug; enmity for Marinette quickly followed in season 2, and as of this season she is set upon taking down Gabriel / Monarch himself. Things are clearly about to get very serious. In the lieu of being able to expel Chloe, Ms Bustier has done the next best thing by putting her on notice that she's being watched - I suspect that's all that was meant by "special attention." At any rate, Chloe now stands more or less alone: Lila is still using her (though she doesn't realise it) but can no longer be an ally at school; Adrien has ended his friendship with her, and now at last Sabrina has renounced her too (if you could call their relationship "friendship" in the first place) so although Chloe's arc clearly has some way to go yet, it clearly doesn't have a long way to go with the deck stacked so tall against her. One other aspect of this episode is that it shows the Magical Charms have some effectiveness after all: they were effective against akumas until Shadowmoth evolved the 'Meg-akuma' to break through them, but now it appears that a Charm's owner can channel their emotions through it to create a shield against those. It's interesting that Cat Noir makes the comment towards the end of the episode that with this new development, he and Ladybug could conceivably become redundant as the people of Paris learn to control their negative feelings better. There's a subtle life hack in that, I'd say - we can all make our own luck, and we can learn to channel our feelings towards engineering solutions to our own problems.

Yeah, the next episodes are going to blow your mind, Luna. I won't spoil anything, but a fair warning: Be ready to be surprised.

At this point I'm almost convinced Lila/Cerise isn't human, or that she at the very least has some supernatural ability. It's the only way to explain how she can repeatedly fool this many people, and tell outrageous lies and have everyone believe them at face value. Remember that scene in the last ep where Lila/Cerise had even Alya convinced that Marinette called her an idiot, when she was right there to see and hear that wasn't what happened? There's some genuinely preternatural going on here...

I'm so happy that Lila got exposed for who she really is. And it looks like the Magical Charm got an upgrade. Sabrina finally broke free from Lila and Chloe. She deserves better.

I think you should re-watch revelation. There lila reveals she has more than one mother! Also on the episode 'mayura' we see another mother, Also in 'risk' we also see probably another mother!

This episode was so good. However, this episode got leaked for me, so it wasn't as meaningful, but I am glad that Lila finally got exposed. We got so many MVP's in this episode, Sabrina, Juleka, Mr Damocles. I am happy Sabrina finally stood up for herself, we've been wanting this since season 1. The whole Lila having different identities, that reveal was literally one of the most unexpected ones in the series. Like I don't even think her real name is Cerise, I believe that's her real appearance, but I think that her real name isn't even Cerise either. This was literally the biggest plot twist of the season. I feel like I know who Lila may actually be. But that's a theory for another day.... This was an awesome reaction :)

so, atp we know Lila has at least 3 different moms, none of whom know about the others, and at least 2 different personas. there is no guarantee that ‘Cerise’ (French for ‘cherry’) is her real name any more than ‘Lila’. unfortunately, the next 3 episodes are very confusing and frustrating, but the finale makes up for it!
