My daughter and I LOVE to eat at Gasparilla's! We'll often go to the Grand Floridian just to enjoy the ambiance, listen to the band (I believe they play at 4:00 p.m. or so) and get something to eat at Gasparilla's - My daughter loves the cupcakes. -- Actually, I preferred it more before it was refurbished a few months ago (they changed the menu as well as the decor) but it's still good. One thing to know: where you get your cold sandwiches, they'll make it "custom" for you - I like their turkey sandwich, but not the swiss cheese, so they'll make one to your specifications, which I think is really nice. -- Also, a year or so ago, we ordered and then went outside to sit -- and they forgot about us! I went in and asked and they said they'd check into it. A few minutes later, out comes a server and gives us free drinks and then one of the chefs came out and gave my daughter (who has disabilities) a special pin that lit up. My daughter was thrilled! It made for a very special day and my daughter still talks about it.

It is always a pleasure to watch you guys explore food, but when, as in this video, the food just plain lights up your eyes and senses on camera? Fantastic! More than your words, that "sold" this to me and I'll definitely give it a try next time. BTW, that "quiet comfort" factor is NOT to be discounted since so much of WDW is so darned LOUD and hustle-bustle!

I can't believe I'm just now seeing this review! Stayed at the GF for the first time in December 2017 and ate at Gaspy's several times. I got the chicken and brie sandwich for a quick dinner one night before heading back out to the parks and I felt just the same way about it! One of the best sandwiches I've eaten...anywhere. The menu isn't huge, but everything I ate there was high quality. My last meal at Disney that visit was a yummy breakfast quiche which I ate sitting outside gazing over at the castle. And if Gaspy's doesn't entice you, there are some good choices over at the Beach Pool bar and grill...lobster sliders and a crab cake sandwich among them! Love, love, love the Grand!

Ate here after celebrating New Years 2017 on our way back to the resort. Great late night place bc this restaurant is open all night. We got the veggie flatbread pizza and it came with heirloom tomatoes which just made this pizza the best at 2am!! Def would recommend this place since its a quick on and off the monorail. Where else can you get good food at 2am in disney?

Love watching you two! We ate at Gasparilla Island Grille in May for our first time. My husband had a fish sandwich that he said was one of the best items he has had on Disney property! I can't say for sure but I think it was probably your Rueben. We arrived just as breakfast was finishing. My daughter and I couldn't resist mini Mickey waffles 😍

In 1992 when I was a kid, we loved Gasparilla. My brother and I played games while we waited to go see the debut of Dick Tracey. Ill never forget that trip. The game room was a lot bigger back then and had more food options for sure. I seem to remember it being themed like a turn of the century ice cream parlor.

I ate at Gasparilla Grill for the first time a couple weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised too! My family sat outside and enjoyed the castle view and nice breeze. Quite lovely. I also chose the Fish Ruben sandwich, and thought it was great! I would go there again.

Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie has a brie cranberry and apple sandwich that I just love. Actually all of the sandwiches are tasty. If you haven't tried it I would recommend you do!!

We we're there over the weekend, must have just missed you!! I had the Brie sandwich and totally agree, great sandwich. I also tried the Minnie Mouse cupcake, my gosh it was amazing ... go back and try it!!!!

I hang out here often when I take a day to resort hop on n the monorail. It's quiet, the seating is very comfortable and it's nice place to write cards and enjoy my tablet.

We had gasparilla grill two weeks ago and loved it!

I just stayed at the Grand Floridian a couple of months ago, simply because it was the only resort on the rails I hadn't stayed at. It wasn't bad at all, however it's just not a resort of choice for me. I did get to try both the blackened fish reuben ( which BTW according to the menu is Mahi Mahi ) and the Chicken & Brie sandwiches, and I agree completely they were both surprisingly very good. I would definitely go back to Gasparilla's for any of those sandwiches. I really enjoyed them both.

It makes sense to me that this place, along with the attached arcade, are smaller than other resorts (as well as the smaller menu). The Grand Floridian is obviously the most expensive resort and also is more catered the adults and young couples through its price and atmosphere. Whereas the Contemporary and especially the Polynesian are fun places to take kids, the Grand Floridian seems like a once in a lifetime stay for a honeymoon or an older couple who have saved money for a more quiet Disney vacation. Naturally with this demographic staying there, a large, loud quick service place seems out of place. People staying there are likely going to be spending more money on sit down meals, and this place fills the need for a quick lunch if someone staying there is coming back mid-day from the parks looking for something quiet as they can then go on to enjoy the pool or sleep in their suite. So yes it's small and has a limited menu, but it makes sense for its location.

I ate there about a week or two ago, I will say one of the better sanwhiches I have had at Disney. I also had the fish Reuben. Oh, and funny side note I sat in that section as well.

I still can't believe people think that Ryno and and Craig are a couple.

This is not so quiet when a convention is coming through. The chicken sandwich is one of the best things I've ever eaten in Disney, better than the meals at some two credit restaurants.

What does Disney have against serving food on real plates? Those paper park plates really bring the experience down a notch, especially when you pay these prices. Its not a kids birthday party!

GREAT REVIEW... You did fail to mention or check the the type of fish that was in the sandwich at this fancy dancy resort(was wondering if it was cheap tilapia fish on lot of menus). I feel If anyone was staying at GF or browsing through this resort it may be worth a stop for a bite. However, I do not feel the small sandwich you received ($12) and the time it would take to get too and from this resort would be remotely worth the trip. I do think the intent of ANY Disney quick service restaurant is a "destination", just something to tie you over...
