I could never pass up a Dave Stevens cover. They were so beautifully done. He was known for his crazy attention detail and inking which he very much preferred. Like you said he passed on way too early in life but he definitely left a legacy we can always enjoy. Great pick ups Mike!

I set a timer on my phone when I hunt for comics on my lunch break. The guys at the comic shop know when my lunch break is off.

I've said it somewhere else, but I'm definitely a nostalgic collector more than a key collector. I understand getting just as excited over a Mojo Mayhem because it sparks that memory that takes you right back to the day. So much more fun for me than grabbing keys. Love keys too though, don't get me wrong! 🤣 Looks like a great place to visit with a bunch of great books. Thanks for sharing!

Same, I'm not really into the huge golden/silver age keys. But I'll take a random Marv Wolfman Teen Titans or George Perez Wonder Woman any day lol

The Ultimate line was fantastic, Mike. The Marvel zombies storyline started in Ultimate FF. Bendis and Bagley’s over 100 issue run is in Ultimate Spider-Man. Some of Bendis best work is in there and you already know about UXM. Great pickups though, esp DKIII. Keep reading. It’s really interesting with fantastic art by Kubert.

Thank you for giving Excalibur some love. I really, really enjoyed that series when it first came out and it always surprises me that it never really took off in terms of popularity and value....Nightcrawler was always my favorite too. Thank you also for picking up the Rocketeer magazine....always worth picking up everytime once can find one. LOVE LOVE LOVE Dave Stevens!!!!!

Ultraman!! I did the same, searching through an antique store and found Ultraman 1,2,&3, all virgin covers in great shape. Picked them up for .30 a piece. They present really well, especially for the money 😅

I'd never seen the cover of X-Men Unlimited #30 before, it's such a cool homage to the Beatles. 1602 is a sequel to the original Neil Gaiman/Andy Kubert series 1601. Ken Steacey was a popular cover artist for a number of publishers in the 80s and 90s and he occasionally did interiors; his style really stands out. Dave Stevens on the Rocketeer is comics perfection. And having Kaluta and Vess backing him up on the other story means more beautiful art.

Nice pick up with that DK III: Master Race #1. Love Frank Miller and his Dark Knight universe. If you're a fan of Carrie Kelley, definitely pick up all nine issues. No spoilers :)

I just came back from Salem and I was able to check out Harrison’s Comics, awesome store. Bought a few ASM, some sticker and a shirt. Thanks for the recommendation.

You’re lucky you had a little time to look around. I went to Oklahoma City with a friend last week, we went to a movie and did some shopping. He asked me if there was anywhere I wanted to go. I mentioned my favorite comic book store but, they were closing in 15 minutes. He got me there and waited on me. I know I could have bought more if I had a more time, but I found some good books for the time limit I had. Lol

Ultraman cover is cool, and although I am not a huge Batman fan(😅) that DK3 cover is really nice! But got to show some love for the Rocketeer, love the movie!

Picked up that entire FF 1602 mini for $20 at a local con, Wasnt the greatest deal. But a decent read. Actually also picked up the FF The End mini 1-6 for a buck each. Haven’t read that one yet. Always a treat when you find a full mini in a dollar box, ya get an entire storyline for like 6 bucks.

I myself hate when I have a time limit to search within when shopping and there is no order to what I'm looking through. Always find your videos interesting. As a kid I bought and read bronze age so learning with the modern and current material you go over.

First time watching the channel and was very surprised to learn there used to old Ultraman comics! Ultraman is one of my all time favorite hero's and I should probably look into getting those older comics too!

I have read the DK 3. Not bad series. The first 2 are much better. I had collected it when it first came out. I thought I had all the series. I went to a comic con and recently and picked up the missing issues I didn’t have.

I believe that Batman book has a panel showing one of wonder woman’s nipple. A little of a controversy comic book. I know there were 3 books in that series and I think that’s the one look into it Mike

I was just at Zombie Hideout today such an awesome place...I grabbed a bunch of Web of Spiderman books for .50 cents a piece and an Amazing Spiderman #325 awesome Spiderman and Red Skull Cover. You aren't kidding it would take weeks to look through all those long boxes but it's such a great time. As always great video and happy Hunting 😁

I feel like you put that tmnt #1 on the wall to taunt me haha ...I finally went to the last lcs in my city on the Google maps list and basically its another gaming shop ...so officially there is no lcs in columbus ohio that has any amount of back issues older then 10 years ...bummer ..there's one place that has an amount of older marvel book that are just crazy as far as prices go ...I wish there was a place local that I could spend some time every few weeks flipping through boxes ...looks like I'm gunna be sticking to unusual places and the internet haha ..you found some cool books yet again..

Mojo Mayhem is a great comic. Don't take it to serious. That Batman cover looks very nice and sin city-like. The Rocketeer and Ultraman are great finds. Nightcrawler is my Favorite charakter. I even called my black cat, Wagner. They are bringing back the ultimate universe in a story by Hickman and the Maker plays a major role in it.

Mike, I'm so jealous of the nice haul of comics that you got. I had to laugh because I also picked up X-men number 266 this past weekend. Though it's not grade, giving a look over I would say high 8s if not in the 9 range. I also bought X-men number 134 and 140. I'm nearly completed in the dark phoenix saga. Just need a few more to complete that run. I got to make my way to you and hopefully meet with you one day.

Gteat pick ups and you need to read Dark Knight Returns part 3 ,i thought it was pretty good. I did however get Ghost in the Shell#1 and Akria#1,#38 which those books are pretty rare. I am not buying anymore books this year and maybe by the middle of next year ,I start back buying comics cause my last few books I want which are Resident Evil#1,Chew#1,TMNT#1, Primer#2, Hulk#181,X-Men#1 1963 Amazing Fantasy#15 and Batman#1 1940 then I am done collecting comic books.

DKIII the Master Race is better than DK2, but not as good as the original. Definitely enjoyed it, got the TPB. Don’t bother with The Golden Child…wish that one stayed unpublished…

Kind of, first it was Justice League Dark character’s first appearances and now I’m firmly into Swamp Thing, both the Wein and Moore runs. After that, who knows… any suggestions?

The Legion of Super-Heroes turned into babies in Adventure Comics 317, 338 and 356, all in the 1960s. This has been so overdone.

I went there and was a bit overwhelmed at the complete lack of organization. The pricing was also were odd - if the comic is in the box but not in a bag its one price ($1 I think), in a bag in the same box its a $5 comic, and in a bag and marked, its whatever the marking is. So basically I was just hunting through boxes that were not even alphabetical and hard to find anything specific. While huge, this isn't the place for me to was too unwieldy..
